Things snowball. It didn't matter that a band of scruffy, bearded chaps and one unbearded woman were making a racket in living rooms and London venues, assembling a kaleidescope of musical influences on top of ex-electronic music producer Alex Story's songs of a nature kid living in a tough city. It didn't matter because the world at large couldn't hear it. So it started as a few live takes. Why not add a few drum parts? Then why not get the electric guitars in. Why not attack every instrument in sight with a violin bow. Why not craft it against their record collection favourites?

Then why not spend two years making it a reality, living on beans in a Hackney Wick warehouse?

London settles into winter of 2015, and Rebel Kites' EP The Witnessing is ready for you. It's birth was not unlike that of a human's birth: conceived after a night out, it spent a long time kicking in a dark room, and it's delivery was at times traumatic and bloody. Now the cinema is set between the mountainous roar of folk-rock toms, the intimacy of clustered picks, bows and whirring bells, the hypnotic drone of an organ and double-lead vocals, amalgamating in a piece for both speaker and the stage.

The Rebel Kites live show consists of an ensemble sharing over fifteen instruments on stage, and Rebel Kites' dynamic, visual live show has risen through the London circuit, as well as enjoying national BBC radio airplay. With the release of their EP, they look forward to a 2015 of doing what they do best - working their ass off to bring their musical cinema to the world.


Adam Harpaz is a singer-songwriter/producer from Australia. Adam's music is uniquely relatable, painting pictures of hope for his listeners through lyrical integrity, warm productions and heartfelt performances. His music has often been described as a blend of Indie Singer-Songwriter, Indie Folk, Ausa-Nova (Australian influenced bossa nova) and Coastal Soul/Jazz.

Adam has been featured on esteemed radio platforms across Australia such as Triple J and by internationally renowned playlist curators such as Mahogany Sessions and alexrainbirdMusic. He performed at a myriad of major festivals including Splendour in the Grass/Falls Festival and has sold out intimate shows across the country.

After the recent successes of a third European Tour (18 shows in 5 countries) and reaching over a million streams on Spotify, 2024 will see Adam spending time at home with his family whilst continuing to record, release, co-write, produce and embark on short tours.

With favourable comparisons to the likes of Bear’s Den, Paper Kites, and Mumford & Sons, Speak, Brother have built a reputation for writing songs which speak directly to the heart and encourage vulnerability. It is, after all, what their name wants to inspire: conversation and connection.

Following the launch of their debut album Young & Brave (2018) which took listeners on a journey through life, from the innocence and fearlessness of childhood to the inner and outer struggles that come from growing up — and growing old —, the band have shown an eagerness to evolve without compromising their ability to craft memorable melodies. Brought to life by the stories of struggle and the artworks sent in by fans, their previous release, “Meet Me In The Chaos”, explored how the simple act of sharing our stories helps us meet and connect with each other just as we are.

Speak, Brother are set to return with a new single, “Even Though We Are Strangers”, on September 30th. Taking inspiration from a moment on a mountain during the Three Peak Challenge, which the band took on to raise money for a charity helping orphaned children, this song tells the story of the unexpected discovery of a deep, instinctive bond between humans; a secret fire that burns within us all despite our differences.
