Burning Man this year was unlike any other. The ups and downs from the weather and flooding/mud were tremendous challenges, but the journey was nonetheless incredible and I met so many wonderful souls along the way. A huge thank you to the Sonic Soul Tribe (https://soundcloud.com/sonic-soul-tribe-839348601) for hosting me on Tuesday night alongside house legends and for giving me the opportunity to bring some big stage energy, and for sharing the recording of my set!

I can't wait until December 1st when the Sonic Soul Tribe returns to New York City for another amazing event (more details to come)! Until then, enjoy this journey through time and space from the best party in the galaxy!

inspired by the diversity and authenticity of world music, ali mae takes you on a sonic journey by weaving together a blanket of multi-cultural electronic music. her sound evokes a sense of distant nostalgia and unconscious familiarity, incorporating elements from of tribal communities, which have been deeply engrained in our souls. in this particular set--which she describes as symbolic of her relationship with the pandemic--you can hear her contemplation between obeying restrictions that keep us all separated (by employing chill, downtempo vibes) and disobeying (through fun, upbeat, happy sounds), continuing to unite people through music. she hopes you can feel the love coming through this set, as much as she felt while playing it.
