Deep Ghosh recently moved to Amsterdam to start a new professional chapter his space engineering life (working at the European Space Agency and looking after environmental monitoring missions), but over the last couple of years has been working on his newly coined role as a 'rave engineer' (or as he jokingly refers to it as the '5 to 9'). Deep is one of the curators of the Flow Sessions long-format 3:33hr mix series, co-creator and organizer UTOPIA Festival, veteran burner (Burning Man, AfrikaBurn, KiezBurn) and active in the Berlin and Amsterdam Burner communities. In between all this, he also enjoys DJing occasionally (on land and sea)

"I am happy to say I was able to finally take a moment and breathe, and make a little 2-hour story of some of the music that I got to discover and share over the last 6 months: starting with dismal winter lockdown and curfew in Amsterdam, to surviving in sweaty office kitchens, secret speakeasies and finally freedom under the blue skies, skirting the turquoise waters of the Red Sea teeming with life, and the Martianesque mountains of the Sinai Peninsula. The last 3 months I got to spend returning to Egypt multiple times was the truly reinvigorating and creatively recharging gift of 2021, as I returned to take on a dystopian castle adventure with my friends at UTOPIA, and help bring our culture back to doing what it does best: spreading joy and love through music, dance, and community. So much more awaits!

For me, music has always served as an audible journal entry, an irreplaceable bookmark on a moment and experience, and an instant memory trigger. This particular journey is a deeply personal one, and emotes where I have been lately (introspectively and otherwise): personally, mentally, emotionally, and a musical nod to some of the incredibly talented humans I recently connected with on my travels to Egypt. Dropping her debut album at the start of 2016, ‘Theory of Love’ garnered a glowing print review in DJ Mag, radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Nemone, John Digweed and Jonty Skrufff, not to mention topping the Beatport charts with the release hitting no.1 in Breaks, no.14 Electronica, no.18 Deep House, no.23 in the Tech House - resulting in an overall Top 100 appearance at no.93. Now, with her live set evolving, her Multiversum events and record label Comport maturing, 2021 looks to be the most propitious year yet for this bright and promising individual. DANSOR's performances have graced Sziget Festival, Ozora Festival and Balaton Sound, not to mention an inventive appearance at Amsterdam Dance Event where she performed her debut album ‘Theory Of Love’ live with her band, her interactive live performance with a sensor jacket, visuals and violin player Ewa Pepper during TEDx Haarlem or her new live set controlled by sensor gloves streamed by Electronic Groove in partnership with Valhalla Music, Conflux Connect and Bespoke Musik.

With Just Her on remix duties, Dansor kick-starts 2016 with a ‘Hallo’ for the final single ahead of her
debut album on Comport Records.
‘Hallo’ is the third and final single released ahead of her long player ‘Theory Of Love’, an album
Dansor performed live alongside jazz musicians at ADE 2015 and will soon perform again in her
hometown of Haarlem with her band featuring Alle Farben & Arjuna Schiks on 16th January. Known
for her releases on Tulipa and Nervous, Dansor is also the founder of Comport Records alongside
Soundbalance and Von Smir - an eclectic imprint that hosts a broad range of releases containing
elements of house, techno, jazz, funk, italo disco, new wave and indie.
Piercing chords and tantalising melodies are the centrepiece in ‘Hallo’, with mesmerising aesthetics
collaborating to form one of Dansor’s more deep and introspective productions. Just Her then
emphasises the percussion to form a rolling rhythm as spectral atmospherics operate throughout.

'Allies For Everyone is back on Motek with ‘Who Are You Tonight’. Listeners of Allies For Everyone’s music will be accustomed to his deep and crisp production underlaying smooth and sultry self sung vocals, and this single delivers on all fronts. The track rolls effortlessly over a lightly chugging baseline with soft pads laying a background for guitar and pan flute textures to be picked out. Reverbs and delays on the key instruments provide atmosphere and depth while well placed percussive parts add to the punch and groove of the piece. The production is finished off with vocal effects and textures which underpin the main vocal.

We are excited to welcome Dansor back on remix duty along with newcomers to the label Baime. Motek’s own Delfin and Navitas bring a breaks flavour to complete the line up.

After an atmosphere building instrumental, Dansor has ramped up the original to the peak hour. Faster moving parts within the beats section and stab synth 16th notes give the track this quicker feel while the arpeggiating lead drives the melodic overview of this remix. At times jarring synth play brings tension and release into a mix that manages to expertly blend warmth and punch.

Baime take their version from the deep and driving, to the hands in the air. An almost middle eastern feel is given which is driven by the fantastic use of percussive drum and conga textures, tambourine shakers and choice of instrumentation in the statement making lead synths. The track develops carefully and creatively to its full crescendo in the last couple on minutes with a masterclass in arrangement.

Finally Delfin and Navitas have gone for a full on breaks feel with their remix. Punchy beats sections and dubby bass elements make this track all about the groove. Energy is sucked out and gradually built back in the musical sections to create balance between the harder hitting and softer atmospheric. Stabs, and effects add interest and surprise in a remix that will unashamedly keep you moving.'

Dansor is fast cementing herself as one of Holland’s hotly tipped electronic music artists. Founder of Comport Records, the Hungarian-born Producer and Media Technologist is also the former winner of Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam and Dave Clarke’s ADE Demolition panel. An established Live Act as well as a DJ, Dansor’s performances have graced Sziget Festival, Ozora Festival, Balaton Sound, not to mention an inventive appearance at ADE where she performed her debut album ‘Theory Of Love’ live alongside jazz musicians, or her interactive AV performance during TEDx with a sensor jacket and Ewa Pepper violinist.
 
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, she grew up listening to Duran Duran, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk before moving to the Netherlands in 1997 - a switch that would play a significant role in intensifying her relationship with all things house and techno. Throwing herself into the scene, she found home in the work of electronic acts such as Art Of Noise, Leftfield, Front 242 and clubs such as “Feketelyuk” (Black Hole) and “Zöldség-Gyümölcs” (Fruits and Vegetables), not to mention the acid house parties that sprung up during the time.
 
Acquiring a taste for illegal raves in her home of Budapest, she later left due to the country’s economic situation to make her way to the Netherlands in search of a new lease of life. It was here where she acquired her first set of decks and also made friends with Dutch producer Georgio Schultz who pushed her towards installing Cubase on her Atari computer. She would later establish her ‘WomenWaves’ parties in her adopted town of Haarlem, followed by ‘Budapest Delight’, 'BLD', 'Hotchpotch', 'BLEND' and 'MULTIVERSUM' events in Amsterdam.
 
The "DANSOR" project was born during the final semester of her Media Technology studies in the ‘00s. A live act that could be controlled without the need to stand behind a laptop, it didn’t immediately set pulses racing - with even the lady herself admitting that it was way ahead of its time. What it did prove beyond any doubt, however, is that Dansor is a producer not intent on taking the traditional route.
 
Such avant-garde approaches course throughout her productions too. Unsurprisingly, then, they’ve been picked up by a host of seminal worldly imprints including Little Mountain, This Is Recordings, Nervous Records and Tulipa. This is replicated in similar vogue via her Comport Records that also plays host to her intricate sound by incorporating elements from house to techno to dub, jazz/funk, italo disco, new wave and indie.
 
Ahead of her debut album ‘Theory Of Love’, Dansor has released a selection of singles from the long player, including remixes from Channel X's Jiggler, Animal Picnic, Thomas Gandey, Zoe Xenia, Sezer Uysal, Just Her and Natural Flow. These have received support from the likes of DJ Mag, Complex, Electronic Groove, Ibiza Voice, When We Dip, 8 day Montreal and her remix of Digitaria's  ‘Useless Fantasies’ even picked up support from Rolling Stone.
