DJ, producer and live act Dansor taps up Malbetrieb and Mattia Pompeo to remix ‘Nobody’ from her debut album released earlier this year.
Hailing from the Netherlands, Dansor kick-started 2016 by dropping her ‘Theory Of Love’ LP, which she performed live alongside jazz musicians at ADE and her hometown of Haarlem. 

The founder of the eclectic Comport Records alongside Soundbalance and Von Smir, she’s also made appearances on the likes of Tulipa and Nervous. In her next outing on Comport Records she’s called upon the remix talents of Sincopat A&R Mattia Pompeo and also Paradigm artist Malbetrieb.
‘Nobody’ sees Dansor combine poignant guitar riffs with a smooth bassline and echoing effects for a production very soothing on the ears. Dutch producer Malbetrieb’s lays down a remix incorporating melodic synths and blissful pads before Italy’s Mattia Pompeo emphasises heavy kicks and twisted arpeggios in a dancefloor focused rework.

Following her debut album released earlier this year, DJ-producer-live act Dansor rereleases ‘Hunger Of The Steel’ with remixes from Edouard!, Animal & Me, Mario Neha and Sean McCaff.

Dansor has released on the likes of Tulipa and Nervous, not to mention Comport Records where she dropped her ‘Theory Of Love’ LP back in February. From the album, ‘Hunger Of The Steel’ sees the Netherlands based artist team up with singer-songwriter Jeffrey Snijder, who she won ADE’s Demolition contest with, for a varied production featuring a medley of organic instruments that garnered support from the likes of BBC Radio 6’s Nemone.

Up first on the package, Katermukke artist Edouard! remolds Dansor’s ‘Hunger Of The Steel’ into a low-slung house track geared for the dancefloor featuring sultry synths and soaring atmospherics. Known for releasing on Popof’s FORM imprint, Animal & Me’s remix is then more stripped back in comparison, combining melancholic violins with subtle nuances before erupting into a metallic hook.

Inyan Music’s Mario Neha adds a sci-fi element to his rendition as dystopian bleeps and whirrs operate on top of the original’s chopped and looped bassline before Sean McCaff concludes the package with a production implementing echoing effects and samples.

Dansor returns to her Comport Records imprint with a mesmerising single featuring remixes from Mexican duo Natural Flow and Croatia’s Andrea Ljekaj.

Having just toured Europe, the first of the remixes comes from Alium regulars Natural Flow, aka Hugo Ibarra and Antu Coimbra, who have risen to become hot prospects within Mexico’s electronic music scene. Ibarra manages Intemporal Music whereas Coimbra is known for appearances on Hope Recordings and Sullivan Room NYC. Meanwhile, Andrea Ljekaj’s productions have landed on Get Physical and Save Us Records, picking up support from the BBC not to mention names such as Luciano, Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus and M.A.N.D.Y.

Featured on Dansor’s debut album ‘Theory Of Love’ released earlier this year, ‘Inverted Moments’ is a hypnotizing production utilizing distorted vocals, soaring strings and echoing effects. Next, Natural Flow’s twisted remix strips things back whilst employing a tantalizing hook and ominous atmospherics before introducing a sinister organ riff in the latter half. Concluding the package, Andrea Ljekaj’s rendition features crunchy percussion and offbeat stabs for a groove led dancefloor workout.

Dansor taps up returning Comport Records remixers Kapibara and Arara to reinterpret ‘The Time’, which originally featured on last year’s album ‘Theory Of Love’.
The Holland-based Hungarian producer, DJ and live-act is known for appearances on labels like Tulipa and Nervous, but the last few years have seen her dedicate everything to her own label Comport Records.
Releasing her debut album on Valentine’s Day 2016, ‘Theory Of Love’ was an 11-track project that demonstrated Dansor’s versatility as a producer. Her follow up releases have seen her call upon the
abilities of producer friends to remix individual tracks from the album and on this occasion Submarine Vibes regular Arara and Constant Circles collective Kapibara are called in to remix ‘The Time’.
Funky bass guitar and warbling atmospherics form the backbone to ‘The Time’, a mesmerising cut with a sultry aesthetic. Dutch trio Kapibara’s remix immediately ups the temp whilst implementing robust kicks,
echoing rim shots and otherworldly melodies. Greek artist Arara’s rendition is more down-beat in comparison, blending an infectious hook with a medley of spellbinding nuances for a low-slung and grooveladen conclusion.

Equal Sidez - Serpens (DANSOR Remix)[Ritter Butzke Studio]

'Allies For Everyone is back on Motek with ‘Who Are You Tonight’. Listeners of Allies For Everyone’s music will be accustomed to his deep and crisp production underlaying smooth and sultry self sung vocals, and this single delivers on all fronts. The track rolls effortlessly over a lightly chugging baseline with soft pads laying a background for guitar and pan flute textures to be picked out. Reverbs and delays on the key instruments provide atmosphere and depth while well placed percussive parts add to the punch and groove of the piece. The production is finished off with vocal effects and textures which underpin the main vocal.

We are excited to welcome Dansor back on remix duty along with newcomers to the label Baime. Motek’s own Delfin and Navitas bring a breaks flavour to complete the line up.

After an atmosphere building instrumental, Dansor has ramped up the original to the peak hour. Faster moving parts within the beats section and stab synth 16th notes give the track this quicker feel while the arpeggiating lead drives the melodic overview of this remix. At times jarring synth play brings tension and release into a mix that manages to expertly blend warmth and punch.

Baime take their version from the deep and driving, to the hands in the air. An almost middle eastern feel is given which is driven by the fantastic use of percussive drum and conga textures, tambourine shakers and choice of instrumentation in the statement making lead synths. The track develops carefully and creatively to its full crescendo in the last couple on minutes with a masterclass in arrangement.

Finally Delfin and Navitas have gone for a full on breaks feel with their remix. Punchy beats sections and dubby bass elements make this track all about the groove. Energy is sucked out and gradually built back in the musical sections to create balance between the harder hitting and softer atmospheric. Stabs, and effects add interest and surprise in a remix that will unashamedly keep you moving.'

Founder of Comport Records, the Hungarian-born Producer and Media Technologist is also the former winner of Pete Tong’s Bedroom Bedlam and Dave Clarke’s ADE Demolition panel. An established Live Act as well as a DJ, Dansor’s performances have graced Sziget Festival, Ozora Festival, Balaton Sound, not to mention an inventive appearance at ADE where she performed her debut album ‘Theory Of Love’ live alongside jazz musicians, or her interactive AV performance during TEDx with a sensor jacket and Ewa Pepper violinist.
 
Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, she grew up listening to Duran Duran, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk before moving to the Netherlands in 1997 - a switch that would play a significant role in intensifying her relationship with all things house and techno. Throwing herself into the scene, she found home in the work of electronic acts such as Art Of Noise, Leftfield, Front 242 and clubs such as “Feketelyuk” (Black Hole) and “Zöldség-Gyümölcs” (Fruits and Vegetables), not to mention the acid house parties that sprung up during the time.
 
Acquiring a taste for illegal raves in her home of Budapest, she later left due to the country’s economic situation to make her way to the Netherlands in search of a new lease of life. It was here where she acquired her first set of decks and also made friends with Dutch producer Georgio Schultz who pushed her towards installing Cubase on her Atari computer. She would later establish her ‘WomenWaves’ parties in her adopted town of Haarlem, followed by ‘Budapest Delight’, 'BLD', 'Hotchpotch', 'BLEND' and 'MULTIVERSUM' events in Amsterdam.
 
The "DANSOR" project was born during the final semester of her Media Technology studies in the ‘00s. A live act that could be controlled without the need to stand behind a laptop, it didn’t immediately set pulses racing - with even the lady herself admitting that it was way ahead of its time. What it did prove beyond any doubt, however, is that Dansor is a producer not intent on taking the traditional route.
 
Such avant-garde approaches course throughout her productions too. Unsurprisingly, then, they’ve been picked up by a host of seminal worldly imprints including Little Mountain, This Is Recordings, Nervous Records and Tulipa. This is replicated in similar vogue via her Comport Records that also plays host to her intricate sound by incorporating elements from house to techno to dub, jazz/funk, italo disco, new wave and indie.
 
Ahead of her debut album ‘Theory Of Love’, Dansor has released a selection of singles from the long player, including remixes from Channel X's Jiggler, Animal Picnic, Thomas Gandey, Zoe Xenia, Sezer Uysal, Just Her and Natural Flow. These have received support from the likes of DJ Mag, Complex, Electronic Groove, Ibiza Voice, When We Dip, 8 day Montreal and her remix of Digitaria's  ‘Useless Fantasies’ even picked up support from Rolling Stone. 
 
Dropping her debut album at the start of 2016, ‘Theory of Love’ garnered a glowing print review in DJ Mag, radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music’s Nemone, John Digweed and Jonty Skrufff, not to mention topping the Beatport charts with the release hitting no.1 in Breaks, no.14 Electronica, no.18 Deep House, no.23 in the Tech House - resulting in an overall Top 100 appearance at no.93. 
Now, with her live set evolving and Comport Records maturing, 2022 looks to be the most propitious year yet for this bright and promising individual.
