Ascent is a Psy/Progressive project helmed by Bojan Stojiljkovic from Serbia. Throughout his life, music has been a significant part, initially as a keyboard player in numerous Rock & Blues Bands during his formative years. However, he eventually discovered a deep love and passion for electronic trance music. Following years of DJing and producing, the Ascent Project was born.

In 2013, Ascent gained recognition with the successful release of his debut album, "Secret Place," on Ovnimoon Records. This achievement led to opportunities with several esteemed labels, including Iono Records, Tesseract Studio, Dacru Records, Phoenix Groove, and more, where he continued to release numerous tracks within the psy-progressive genre.

Building upon the acclaim of his debut album, Ascent released his second album, "Nature Creations," in 2014, further cementing his global recognition and securing performances at various festivals and parties throughout Europe.

In early 2016, Ascent joined the BMSS Records family, allowing him to continue his musical endeavors with renewed vigor. From 2016 to 2018, his presence in the industry expanded as he played bookings worldwide. However, in 2018, Ascent took a hiatus to focus on music production amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Serbia's nature.
After 5 years of Pause with bookings, Ascent continues to Travel and play his Music Wolrdwide with BMSS Records Family.
The sound of Ascent can be described as progressive, Psychedelic, atmospheric, and trance-infused, characterized by unique melodies,Goa melodies, emotional harmonies, and ethno vocals.

Hailing from Constanta, a port city on the Black Sea of Romania, E-Mantra is a seasoned veteran and prolific composer, with several releases on respected labels such as Suntrip and Altar, under a variety of aliases (E-Mantra, Emanuel Carpus, Neurosect, and Night Hex, to name a few). 

Early on in his career Emanuel was influenced by a wide variety of sounds, including acid, techno, and of course trance, but he’s primarily known for representing Goa Trance and Goachill / psychill / psybient (call it what you will). 

One of the things that makes his productions special is the emotional richness he brings to his craft, as well as his ability to create a sense of traveling into other worlds (both inner and outer). If you had a rocket ship to explore the stars this would be your ‘go to’ sound track. 

Each song tells a story. This happens through his choice of sounds, and of course arrangements. Textures are lush, as melody lines are tripped out with delays that intertwine and morph in and out of the soundscape. His leads often have a modulating acid tinge that harken back to classic early TIP releases. Lush, mysterious, and completely hypnotic, these are songs that are a true joy to listen to. 

E-Mantra is always upping his game with each release, making him one of the most revered and respected producers from Eastern Europe, with several thousand followers on Soundcloud, and excellent reviews over the span of his career. 

One of the reasons he’s so popular is he represented Goa Trance at a time when Psytrance was on the upswing, so for fans of the old-school he became a sort of musical saviour. And while he’s moved on to other sounds to satisfy his artistic needs, he still maintains that respect for his roots, all with a polished, modern production that really allows the listener to get into a state of trance.

"Music for me is about connection. Connection between the heart, mind, body, and soul. My intent is to discover the magic of our existential life through all senses and feelings. Heal, and connect create universes of sound that transcend a specific intended energy and sensational feeling from the creator to the listener. And the more the listener and creator align, the more the creator has succeeded with the creator's intention. That being said, it is undoubtedly beautiful how a song as a universal language and perpetual piece of art - across time and space - can be interpreted in infinite ways across cultures, generations, world views as well and states of consciousness.

My intention is to fusion all the things I love in life, ancient esoteric wisdom, contemporary science and technology, quantum physics, as well as existential philosophy into novel-seeking art, to express what's in my conscious heart, mind, and soul, researching and discovering all aspects of existence and then express my feelings through my art, through all 6 senses, the 6th sense being intuition, as one of the most important drivers since it is governed by the heart, the seat of the soul. The same conscious instrumental senses that have been used to discover life through all senses is the same instrument I use when making my music. It's almost like an omnipresent tribute to life, where you experience and observe life to the fullest, and then again express your feelings of the experienced and observed through art by using all senses in a conscious and present way. But after the industrial revolution, humans have become more and more disconnected from our true nature, on all levels; physically, mentally, and spiritually how we eat (fx artificial additives in our food, or pharmaceutics that have disrupted, dominated, and manipulated the narratives together with other governmental forces and made artificially created medicine a norm, and alternative natural medicine that has been proven as a natural science by indegeniours ancestors through thousands of generations; way more than modern science has ever existed but yet, the modern scientist is seen as the predominant instrument of truth, despite the trust (…)
