Birthed in 2014 alongside music legend Nasir “Nas” Jones, the label solidified itself as a powerful platform that shines light on DIY artists passionately upholding the foundational pillars of Hip Hop. The objective is to make the new generation discover the group, but also to inform the hardcore fans and artists following their news. With a comfortable visual studied ergonomy, a browser and a sub-section have been established to make easy researches. The text is authentic and our editors are working on numerous descriptions, biographies and articles of this encyclopedic-website, wholly supervised, controlled and reedited by DaftSide and The BrainWasher. A brand new project linked to Daft Punk, applying an enormous amount of research, design and ergonomics. With clear and simple layout with a posh web design in adequacy with the group’s musical and visual universe. The website is focusing to be a reference for the Daftweb.

FEX Foreign Exchange is a collective, music label and party-rocking outfit exploring music culture in our beloved Chicago & beyond. From the rich histories of our neighborhoods to our pride in having visitors witness the realness, Chicago is among the finest & most diverse cities in the world. We like it that way and this is why we do this.

Years ago we took the concept of Chicago internationalism and thought to push & explore the music which represents our collective backgrounds. Through music we can break borders, explore our identities, and of course rock the dance floor.

While difficult in this day & age of top 40 pop and what sells, we strive for culturally aware music that explores undercurrents while respecting humanity. Diverse sounds for diverse peoples. We gets down, we lift up.

We do it through parties and performances, mixtapes & music productions, arts & media. We do it with traditional “world” music (Global Roots), new musicultural/political fusions (Nu Whirled) and heavy hitting, club-friendly (Transnational Bass) sounds. And we’ll continue to bring it heavier.

There’s lots of names for this movement, let’s be in conversation through music.
