Jan Theo Berendsen, better known as Jengi, has become a standout name in house music. The Dutch producer and DJ first made waves with his debut single Bruh and the 2017 EP Colors. His vibrant club sound has since propelled him to global recognition.

Jengi's 2023 hit Bel Mercy was a viral sensation, supported by stars like Diplo and Tiësto. The track took TikTok by storm, surpassing 150 million streams, going gold in the Netherlands, sparking a worldwide dance trend and reaching #36 on the Dutch Top 40 with global radio support. Following its success, he released Take U on Tomorrowland Music, amassing over 20 million streams in a year. In 2024, he collaborated with The Magician on Things We Do, a crowd favorite blending their distinct styles.

On stage, Jengi’s rise has been meteoric. He toured Europe, Asia, and Australia in 2023, playing major festivals like Tomorrowland (2023 and 2024). June 2024 marked his debut U.S. tour, further building his international reputation.

Jengi’s remix work, including tracks for Tiësto, Sam Gellaitry, and Mr. Belt & Wezol, alongside releases on Tomorrowland Music, FFRR, and Three Six Zero Records, showcases his versatility and creative vision.

Born in the Netherlands and based in Utrecht, Sherbert was founded out of a mutual split between Polar, it was simply time ‘’to move on and face new challenges’’. Sherbert is a new project with his first 4 track release on the Dutch House/Tech-House label Dark Side Of The Sun. His sound Is inspired by digging through 90s Roland grooveboxes, sample cd’s and jazz & soul records. 

Inspired by artists such as Diego Krause, iO (Mulen), East End Dubs and the sound of labels such as London's Infuse and Berlin's Unison Wax/Beste Modus, Sherbert manages to create a powerful mix of underground tech house and hypnotic house grooves. Sherberts own musical productions are also increasingly being picked up by various record labels such as We_R_House, Blind visions Records, Whoyostro, Need Music and Artefax Movement, resulting in more and more support by artists like Fabe, Wlad, Archie Hamilton, LEON, Rossi and many more.

At the time of the Coronavirus was coming down on the world Sherbert had the time of making lots of good music due to many hours of lockdown. Standing at the beginning of this new project, Sherbert is ready to mingle and bring to you the house as he sees fit.
