DaQuashia is an emerging neo-soul artist with a sound that will make the average hopeless romantic cry. Her smooth tones and 90’s R&B-like sound filled with body and passion have placed her in a category of her own. Inspired by artists such as Erykah Badu, Brandy, and Mariah Carey -- this Mississippi native has crafted timeless pieces. In 2017, she released her first single, “Change Up.” This project zeros in on DaQuashia’s obsessive love for finding a middle ground between heartbreak and relationships.
 
Born DaQuashia Strahan in 1998 and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she grew up surrounded by the love of her family and singing in church choirs. DaQuashia always wrote her own music and worked on her own sounds with fellow colleagues while attending Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2020, the artist released her hit single, “Unconditional Love.” She posted a viral Twitter clip of the song being critiqued by Grammy-Nominated producer, Lord Quest, who guest appeared on the show ‘Radar Music Monday’ powered by R&B Radar. This platform was created by the CEO Tommy Banks and Drewsmoothly based in Toronto. As 2020 unfolds, what’s next to come from this artist is synonymous with interchangeable with the next big thing.
