Thousands of years of human history form a mosaic of which today we only see frayed and scattered incomplete fragments. The legacy of ancient civilizations which, although they fell and were born again, wove their threads into the fabric of human existence. We are the heirs of forgotten histories, recorded in old broken rocks, obliterated papyri and myths passed on in an increasingly transformed way from mouth to mouth.

The origin of modern man is like a link in the chain of time, in which the past intertwines with the reality that we experience here and now, but we do not see its beginning or end. The traces of the roots of Homo Sapiens lead us to ancient, developed civilizations, each subsequent collapse of which did not mean complete disappearance, but meant transformation and continuation in ever new, in their own way, repeatable forms.

Over the centuries, they have transformed, disappeared and reappeared, leaving their mark and writing in the books of history with partially torn or illegible pages. This legacy has not been completely lost. It has become the foundation on which the modern world is based - knowledge, ideas, philosophy and such common evolved constructs as social systems. Ancient laws, ethics and political ideas have survived centuries, transforming and adapting to changing circumstances. The history of humanity is like an encrypted code that can be read by analyzing the repetition of human and social behavior. This code is not only written in tangible heritage that we can examine and measure using measurement techniques. This is epigenetics, which, under the influence of all the experiences of our ancestors, was recorded and transferred to the perception of subsequent generations. And also ours.

In an atmosphere full of mystery, the legacy of history is revealed, which, although most of it seems to have been lost, still influences our perception of reality and the world. Its heroes are our ancestors. Now, connected to our ancestors by gene bonds, we become the guardians of the continuum of our species.

My name is Darby Gardner. I've dabbled in making music for almost 30 years. In late 1991, my cousin and I got together and started writing and recording raps. We used my parents' organ, a couple of cheap synthesizers, and a record full of break beats to make our music. I wouldn't say that we were overly skilled at our craft -- in fact looking back now, it sounds kinda cheesy -- but we liked what we did. In 1993, I went solo using those same cheap synthesizers and break beats to record my raps. Again, quite cheesy and nothing groundbreaking, but it was a good outlet. Over the years, I discovered various music making programs and I would throw together some songs. Most recently, I've started using Ableton Live Lite, which I was able to get for free a few years ago via a new sign-up promotion here on SoundCloud.

Currently, I make two types of music under two different monikers. My more upbeat and faster-paced electronic and techno music is created under the name PhazeShift, while my more ambient and new-age type music is made under the name Infinidium. Fun fact: each song that I make as Infinidium has the name of a color (as listed on Wikipedia) as its title. That's basically me. I hope you enjoy my music.
