Took his talents to North Carolina for the summer of 2006 and recorded his MySpace smash 'Fresher Than A MotherF****'.. Came back to NY focused 150% more on his music. In 2011 after moving to Albany, NY he recorded his BEST song 'All white Nikes'. Always worked on releasing a full body of work but never did. Dikeem Shabazz aka MCGQ, April 22, 1992, born and raised in the City New York. 

Having a Birth Certificate that states QUEENS, the memories  of pre - mature years  in the LES, and his lengthy residency in the SOUTH BRONX, MCGQ is a true New Yorker, who BLEEDS Hip-Hop. With poetry becoming a hobby at the early age 8, and a major influence by Naughty by Nature's "O.P.P", a hidden talent would soon emerge.Inspired by artists such as Jay-Z, Nas,  OutKast, The Lost Boyz, DAS EFX, Rakim, and so much more, MCGQ blends a unique sound that ultimately distinguishes him from others. Keeping the element of truth and originality. 

Along side his god brother & music partner, Tony Paperz, MCGQ has formed E.S.M. (EastSideMarketMusic, EverythingSelfMade, EverySingleMinute), an underground music team, complied of few members, including MCGQ, with a "Market" of different sounds and good music. In 2014, showcasing the first ESM freestyle tracks, on SoundCloud, and 'SELF MADE' videos on Instagram, MCGQ & ESM were slow and steadily creating a household brand. 

By late 2016, MCGQ debuted a complete body of work,  an 8 track Ep titled "APT.3C" on Soundcloud and every distribution platform. Recently releasing several visuals on Youtube including 'LIVIN' LESONS' (prod by Luke White) & the hit 'ALL WEEK' (prod by MeiserBeats) both directed by Painfully Gifted Visuals, with more to come in the near future.

 Performing at venues such as SOBs, Nuyorican Cafe, Club Lust, Rock The Stage,and collaborating with platforms such as  Morbookings, The DeansListTour, & Excell LiveWire,  MCGQ continues to gain the attention from his underground peers, while seeking the awareness of the mass majority. With his music , sound, and message. MCGQ defines who he is. An MC with a "GQ' approach. Motivating Creating Good Quality music representing the heart of the people, while promoting peace and unity.
