Now, that’s what 3000Grad Special stands for: Music made to maximise the bustle of the dancefloor, but with an unusual, original twist. Special. Bonfante delivers two perfect examples for this kind of sound. Aldeapolis lifts our spirits like the promise of t-shirt weather. Her voice sneaks between the beats in rhythmic fragments first, only in the second half her singing breaks through fully with a catchy flourish. The retro-infused, rhythmically stripped- down to the maximum remix of @mollonobass focuses entirely on the vocal. Cyborgs Like Unicorns Too is playful and humorous not only in its title, here Bonfante creates a mighty recognition factor by using the outrageously cool sound of an electric guitar.
