Hi there friends :) After more than three years away from the decks, I'm very happy to be back with you, if you're still out there, with a new set.  Personal life and the weight of the world really sapped me my desire to play over the last few years, and during most of the COVID era I hardly consumed any music at all.  Going to shows and seeing friends again over the last year has really helped reenergize me on the music front and I've managed to fit in a fair bit of digging over the last six months, which brings me here.

Inspired by PiHKAL, dissociation, hushed tones and a soft touch, this set traverses a broad range of BPMs and textures ripe for a proper journey alone or with a close companion.  Downtempo, deep house, dubby beats and amorphous electronica all make appearances, channeling the heavens, the sea and subterranean realms, and bringing forth contrasting yet complimentary aesthetics - sullen/uplifting, dusty/polished, organic/synthetic, subtle/authoritative.  All great tunes, but special shout outs to Canson for his remix of Just Emma's and Zazou's "Baltic Sea", which I've wanted to include in a set for years, and Cornucopia (Guy J) for his remix of Volen Sentir's "The Great Escape" - two of my favorite tracks for sure.  Big up Seven Villas as well, with four tracks from the label included here, and the producer Sensual Physics who this set is named after.

Immer noch oder schon wieder Top aktuell ist die Passage:

Aber als ich heute am 14.08.2023 durch die Stadt ging hörte ich statt dessen mit einprägsamer Melodie aus einer Kneipe den Song: "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little 

lies."

KINDER DES KRIEGES
Alle Kinder des Krieges waren nie richtig Kind, sondern hart wie die Steine, Blut und Eisen es sind.
Nach der Mutter in Tränen griff zuerst ihre Hand, Märchen hörten sie keine, denn die Welt stand in Brand.
Diese Kinder des Krieges waren nie richtig Kind, das Schlaflied sang ihnen in Ruinen der Wind.
Jedes hat nur im Schatten seine Zähnchen gewetzt, und die Friedhöfe hatten oft den Spielplatz ersetzt.
Diese Kinder erfuhren, dass nichts galt und nichts blieb als im Antlitz die Spuren, wie der Hunger sie schrieb.
Um die Liebe betrogen, für ihr Alter zu alt, von der Sorge erzogen, ohne Heil, ohne Halt.
Man hat Kinder des Krieges selten singen gehört, denn zu oft hatten Schreie ihren Singsang gestört.
Und sie hatten geschwiegen, doch bald eines durchschaut, dass Erwachsene, die lügen, leider niemand verhaut.
Diese Kinder des Krieges sie verlernten das Spiel, denn zu gross waren die Augen, und sie sahen zu viel.
Was die Grossen versprachen trübte nicht mehr den Blick, denn die Grossen sie brachen ihrem Lenz das Genick.
So ein Kind ohne Kindheit es begriff mit der Zeit, du musst immer nur geben und bekommst dafür Leid.
Und dann lernte es eben ganz im Stillen für sich, nur von Hoffnung zu leben so wie du und wie ich.
Die sich liebten im Elend sind einander so gleich, arm an grossen Gefühlen, an Träumen zu reich.
Nach dem Licht auf der Suche, das man heimlich noch scheut, die sich liebten im Kriege bleiben Kinder bis heut.
