I'm new in the world of techno, I mean as a producer. I can clearly say that I'm not a specialist, and don't care about the trends.... but I do have some particular vibes and respect for techno music, especially some artists and labels, mainly "dub techno" and "psy techno",  wich inspired me, even when I produced retro, italo, psychedelic trance and other stuffs.... as I can feel all the potentiality for a long time,
Anyway, as I like to push the boundaries and travel trough different world, I make some few "techno" tracks, mainly melodic but started mooving toward more abstract forms as "Deep Techno" and will certainly go  through different directions soon !
So there's not that much for the moment, but severals project are in progress....I just try to bring all I have...my own vision & sensibility as far as I can go by now.....

riCo LaForetMagik's Early and recent works...The playlist is not in order of time...Just trying to mix the differents genres in a way that please me, but I change the order frequently, so... ! 

My 'Early tracks', from 2012-2016  —  and recent works from 2023-2024.

I started interests in music production by 2011 I guess..I explored many musical genres and developed myself, listening, learning, falling...but definetly emerging sound design skills steps by steps...
As well influenced by UK Dubwise & heavyweight Dub Steppa soundsystem culture and some mixed electronic music (Trance psychedelic genres, , dark electro, progressive techno, psytek…) but above all, the sounds of the 80’s (italo-disco, dark synth, electro disco, minimal wave, horror disco and movies soundtracks like John Carpenter, of course !!...)The melodic 'Retro' inspiration mixed with nowadays electronic music is obviously a big part of the project.
Here, a selection of tracks representing a variety of all music styles I liked and mixed together...

I just added some tracks in august 2024...because I made a break in music production , wich I only made during my spare time first, as a digital artworker and video art maker I had to concentrate on my work that you can find on my Instagram (link in description) account with lot of stuff but mainly short videos with all kind of music wich inspire me, and also mine of course ! 
For a year now, I started producing music more seriously, and you can clearly hear it if you listen my old stuff from 2012 compared to my recent works...always varying the musical genres, like techno, and still better "retro" sounds mixed with nowadays electronic music...

A recent track, between Darkpy, forest, darkprog with slower Bpm like psy progressve or downtempo as it is at 128.Bpm. Unlike most darkpsy forest style it is very melodic...as a progressive track I tried to make it slowly gradualy deveop from a darkly begining to a ligher melodic ending...it was the concept from starting this particulary "special" track I should say...
If you don't like dapkpsy or gloomy forest style, give it a try, because the first part is like classic darkpsy but melodies grows towards the lights...a totally different universe when the final drop gradually arrives like the rising stars...

Just enjoy....

A track made two weeks ago that I delete from my profile for some reason....Now it is remixed and a little bit  "mixed" I should say...I worked on it during the last weekend...
Sorry, but If some elements were re-worked, the bass and some synths have a totaly new sound design and the tempo is the fastest I done for this kind of music for exemple, and so on...( I even changed the name of the track !! )

riCo - Livin' Up Fast

A remix of "S*ve your Te*ars" from the famous synthpop singer The W.E.. I'm not that much a mainstream ”hits” guy, but when I listened to the original version it was obvious that, first I loved the track sensibilities...and I wanna bring my own feeling about the song with a few changes like adding new melodies, changing some instruments sound design and a longer arrengement with more 'space'...taking time between verses / chous of the "radio" edit version...

Obviously and Unfortunately SC reject my "Vocal remix" for Copyrights...even if I changed melodies, tempo, pitch, arrengement and the new "genre" of the track, with my particular ”Italo" vibes or with a more 80s ’nostalgia’ touch I should say...moving from a frustrating 4.mn mainstream radio edit to a 7.mn - Italo / pop remix ! ( Of course I had to keep the vocals - with a litle bit of work on the reverb, soft delay and so...anyway I'm not really a singer, and even if I was singing (!!!) I'm pretty sure that SC would have deny the cover in any case... so I just changed the sequence of certain verses but that doesn't matter...

So, here is the instrumental version for now…wich seems a little boring in my point of view because I keep the same arrengement with some little changes but certainly don't wanna re-make a shorter radio instru edit !!...

So, I decided to make a ”vocoder” version by skipping certain verses or chorus, keeping the best as a "dub version"  with delay and effects on the voice lik…as a Jamaican Dub producer !! LOL, …not that bad, I will obviously make some changes and try to post it on my other SC account ( "Christine" dedicated to Italo / new wave / horror disco / minimal synth and so...( mostly reposts )…or Yootube, just to see if I succeed on my new version…
In any case, I will find a way and I will post this "voco-vocal" somewhere..!!!

By the way, as a graphic artist and motion visuals creator, I already done some loops from 30.s to 1,30.mn for my videos on my Instagram and Faceboook accounts, and that's the only way to listen some parts of it for the moment...( verses / chorus / instrus loops...) 

I talk a lot because I’m so frustrating !!…So I stop here…and I don't mean The Track IS a ”HIT” but some will love the Touch Or The new feeling of the tune…I think..!!?

This track, even if it has been producing almost 12 years ago,  in 2012 I would say, is a true storytelling about Death and Life After Life...
ANgels, are singing a story starting from the end of life and through their mighty chants, becoming more and more positive and constructive, they explain what is Life after life...the change-over happening, and believe me, after living several times the near-death experience that you can feel something so beautiful that your life will change in a way that no words can explain...
So I decided to transmit it in a track very mystical and particular for me, that I hope you will listen it carefully with your best headphones....
I had absolutely no skills or experience in music production at this time, but the concept was so evident for me that I can say that it's one of my bet track ever...I just cry to the joy of life...after life !

Hi everyone, I upload this short Techno track because I'm quite satisfied at this point while it is still in progress, or maybe not !

This is a Melodic Techno track (my first one...) because I'm not ready to make "pure" techno or more hard raw techno right now, it is not my culture, but I always wanna make techno...

So here is a simple track, I wanna keep it minimal but it's still a "Beta" version as it's a work in progress...

This piece was supposed to be a Hitech tune and last around 45 minutes and with the "Night Nurse" riddim from Gregoryb Isaccs at 180 bpm, but for some reason SC refuse that track...

Anyway, I focused on the Resistance riddim ( with some unknow singer ) with Cm as key labeled and 180 bpm....

So it's simply a "Hard Steppa" riddim with non-stop raggamuffin talking mostly aboput Jah Rastafari & The sacred Majiruana....
This work is not finish, I just test to see if you react to this crazy track !

Curious & passionate music lover and vinyls collector...
Younger, as a real skateboarding addict I was firstly influenced by punk and hardcore, then later a good friend introduce me into "raggamuffin" and the early yers of hip-hop...So, even if I prefered more "speed" music I slowly enter the world behind "Reggae music & dub universe" ,  but not only musically...The "world" and people who created this "deepness", I mean the "spiritiuality" wich is the main substance coming from this "Music"...it was firstly a "revelation" , JAH RASTAFARI ! Anyway, I was deeply involved in that culture for long years... 
It took some time but I finaly widen my musical experience by discovering electronic music through dark electro from the late 90's and mainly the 'nu wave' of italo-disco' mostly coming from Netherland with artists such as I-F, Alden Tyrell, Legowelt and the Viewlexx label...
Later I honed my tastes towards progressive techno and psy-tech...
Now, since a while, my tastes moves to psychedelic trance and most of its countless sub-genres...Mainly "Night time" like twilight, darkpy, forest or experimental, but today my tastes have honed to higher Bpm's like Hitech or even psycore...the music of today and tomorrow...

As a young 'music poducer' I tried all kind of styles, but nowadays I tend to mix all those differents musical vibes to slowly deepen my own « substance »
