Definetly one of my favorite remixes of all time!

The 23rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital sees the debut of an exciting up-and-coming artist. Antrim got 2013 off to an amazing start when Nick Warren selected his 'Blow Your Mind' production for his latest Renaissance compilation. The Argentinean producer continued his strong momentum throughout the year with singles on System Recordings, Sound Avenue, and Classound Recordings, all of which received support from Hernan Cattaneo.

Antrim's productions always carry many unique qualities and 'Labyrinth' is certainly no exception. The techno inspired framework is full of intricate detail, distinctive rhythms and a vortex of glassy keys that is simply mesmerizing. The energetic groove seems to grow endlessly as the hypnotic components work in perfect unison with the pulsating foundation. The elegant conclusion is undeniably contemporary as the tension builds to a glowing luster which leaves you wanting more.

The first remix is supplied by Gai Barone, who is also making his debut appearance on Perspectives. The Italian producer has spent time on Nick Warren's Hope Recordings as well as Coldharbour, Perfecto, and Afterglow over the course of his expansive production career. Gai's refreshingly unique take on progressive house is always exciting and he's provided a great interpretation of 'Labyrinth'. The warm foundation of rumbling beats, luminous rhythms, and grainy electronics flows effortlessly to the main drop. The exquisitely produced break is packed with poignant harmonies and a slow character-filled conclusion that is utterly elating.

Gavin Mulhall aka Silinder returns to Perspectives for his third appearance and supplies the final remix here. The Irish producer has continued to be a firm favorite of Hernan Cattaneo and has appeared on his Sudbeat imprint twice. Silinder's 'Labyrinth' interpretation reinvents the main theme over an undulating foundation of heavy bass tones. Smooth chord changes along with those beautifully reworked keys serve to heighten the emotions and tantalize the senses as the track reaches an unforgettable climax that closes the release out perfectly.

Astral Records continues to showcase new and exciting talent by welcoming I.AM to the label for his debut single. Amit Maimon aka I.AM entered the world of melodic house and techno as a DJ first, channeling languages of varied musical landscapes into his sets, and churning them into his own complex rollercoaster of intricate melodic techno. Gigs at some of his country's trendiest venues such as The Maze, have already made I.AM a name to watch as he now makes his production debut with 'Falling To Pieces', alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee, Omar Khalifa & Turako. I.AM's production debut 'Falling To Pieces' lands with the studio touch of an established veteran, in turn finding a perfect balance between emotive vocal phrasing and club-effective grooves. Cosmic and poignant in equal measure, it's a foundation of punchy kick drums and pulsating bass lines which set the stage for symphonic synth phrasing and heartfelt vocals to steal the air. The break only furthers its dancefloor appeal with a grandiose build and powerful drop driven by heartfelt overlays and further sonic mutations. The first interpretation of 'Falling To Pieces' is provided by label A&R Paul Anthonee. In addition to being a core part of the Astral family, Paul has achieved global recognition for his far-reaching sound. Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Carl Cox, Innellea, Fideles, Kevin De Vries and more have praised his work, while Running Clouds, Steyoyoke, Parquet and UV Noir have been landing spots for his sought-after tracks. In recent years Paul has chosen to primarily focus on Astral as his production home, while also adding Rafael Cerato's Ritual imprint to his resume. Now, following a remix of 'The Arrival' by Far From Home & Retoric to begin the year, Paul returns to Astral with a huge rendition of 'Falling To Pieces'. Opting for a more refined take on the track, the Cyprus resident conveys the mood from the original beautifully, for a slightly less vocally dominant, yet equally emotive and dramatic version that's driven by phasing chord stabs and thunderous grooves, making it perfect for the more astute dancefloors out there. The release concludes with Omar Khalifa & Turako making their label debut with the second and final interpretation of 'Falling To Pieces'. Upon forming a production partnership in 2023 Omar and Turako have become a duo to watch within the world of melodic house and techno. A well received remix of 'Dive Into Your Fear' Freemann (IT) for Melodic Room would lead to a first EP project for the label to begin 2024. Now, fresh off a contribution to New Tab's popular 'Opera' series, Omar Khalifa & Turako make their Astral debut with a darker rendition of 'Falling To Pieces'. While maintaining the spirit of the original, Omar and Turako aim squarely at a peak hour dancefloor with a sweeping sonic experience all their own, utilizing the vocal sparingly, while adding their own unique array of darker monochromes and trance-inducing synths for an exhilarating experience to round out the release on a high note..

Internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner Darin Epsilon is often referred to as a pioneer of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House.  His Perspectives radio show and podcast reaches tens of thousands of listeners every month.  He launched his Perspectives Digital record label in November 2010 as an extension of the brand, further solidifying his influence and presence within the global dance community. In 2016 he was nominated for ‘Best Progressive House Artist’ in the annual Beatport Awards, and in 2011, John Digweed named him one of the winners in his DJ Competition sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live.  He also became the first artist ever to release a tutorial for producing Progressive House after teaming up with SonicAcademy.com

To date, Darin has released music on many of the industry's most respected labels including Katermukke, Einmusika, Sudbeat, Renaissance, Global Underground, Parquet, Selador, Warung, Hope Recordings, microCastle, and more.
