🇺🇸ENG: We present to your attention the thirty-sixth release from Bassmatic Records! Mini album from our member Evgeny Kutsenok with two gorgeous works filled with the energy of the dance floor! The first track was "Voodoo" the title speaks for itself, shamanic vocals with a powerful bass line and an energetic groove, a highly balanced composition that makes it a powerful weapon on the dance floor! The second track was "Simba", an equally exciting work, where feelings play a huge role, it is not just a set of different sounds and their connection, it is much more. It's about drawing from a wide variety of elements to evoke the most real emotions in you!

Astral Records continues a strong start to the label by welcoming Wielki for his debut EP. The French artist has risen from an era of synthesizer pioneers, creating a sound that is both musically rich and rhythmically fresh. Always looking to tell a story within his productions, the Paris resident has already found a home on Armada's Electronic Elements and collaborated with Joris Delacroix. Having contributed a release to label affiliate Movement Recordings in 2019, Wielki now debuts on Astral Records with 'Maelström' alongside a remix from Binaryh.

Beginning with the title selection Wielki crafts a spirited progressive techno hybrid. Anchored by a punchy groove, charged rhythms and devilish effects, it's both foreboding and mysterious from the outset. Evolving smoothly, astral arps and warm chord changes create a contrary yet compelling narrative leading in the main break. Choir-like pads initiate the centrepiece, sending it further into cosmic territory with tastefully tense modulation and a deadly drop which spearheads a chugging finale. The companion piece 'Minuit Une' sits as a perfect complement with its dynamic dance floor appeal. It's deliberate beats and subterranean groove set the foundation for percussive rides and squelchy synth splashes. Rising modulation peaks anticipation leading into the break, where wonky arps melt down to tonal tension and buzzing sonics as the groove drops for a spirited conclusion.

'After the second VA, it’s time for the 27th EP of the label. On this release the Italian duo Anticyclone are making their banging debut. They bring to you three euphoric and dancefloor orientated originals, with a high-energy atmosphere throughout the whole EP.

The first track is called ‘A Dream’ and already starts off pretty firm. On top of a solid lower part the harmonious pads are rising up. Out of these pads a euphoric one-shot vocal is coming to the front, brining you into a dream. This ecstasy which got strengthen by the harsh, but on the other hand subtle, percussion.

The title track ‘Highlands’ goes through on the same level as the previous track, but with an even more punchy kick underneath. During the first break the tension gets already really high, after which a high vocal chord develops itself towards the second intermission. At the begin of this break the energy gets lowered, to build it up again towards the highest peak of the whole EP. Also here, the precise warehouse percussions are a remarkable essential.

‘Valdivia’ is the final track of this EP. The emotional atmosphere gets preserved and also the characteristic elements of Anticyclone are coming back again. It’s a big club, track which brings a powerful end to this heavenly collection of tracks.'

It's our honor to have Darin Epsilon from Chicago release his first original EP on Ritter Butzke Records!

With "In Harm's Way" Darin lays the foundation for this excellent and clubby three tracker. A catchy rhythmic hook with 16th note ornaments and a pushing bassline make this one a must-have for every peak time. Counterpoint basslines and numerous variations of the main theme set the guarantee for enchanted faces on the dancefloor.

Hamburg duo Moonbootica attack the remix with raining triplet arpeggiator elements and an intense lead synth that will surely stick in the memory of many listeners to come! A beautifully executed break with an excessive drop is delivered on top.

Turkish producer Sezer Uysal tackles the original with deep offbeat pushes and a slap-in-the-face snare. Cornered with dark and harsh elements, the break opens with a sweet chord progression played with nice retro sounds and caressed with the 16th notes of the original.

Three versions with a lot of love and heart for every taste and preference!

Darin Epsilon is a globally renowned DJ, producer, radio host, and label owner, widely celebrated as one of the pioneers of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive House. As the host of the Perspectives radio show and podcast, he has reached tens of thousands of listeners each month, solidifying his influence within the global dance music community. Since launching his label Perspectives Digital in 2010, Darin has continually expanded his artistic reach, further establishing himself as a key figure in the electronic music scene.

Originally from Chicago, Darin’s early career was shaped by his pivotal residency at the legendary Vision Nightclub. This was followed by his move to Los Angeles in 2008, where he worked with renowned brands such as Insomniac at Exchange LA, GIANT at Avalon and Vanguard, and Monday Night Social. His journey continued in 2017 when he relocated to Berlin, the world’s electronic music capital. By 2022, he further cemented his position on the global stage with a highly coveted DJ residency at Ritter Butzke, one of Berlin’s most beloved venues. 

Darin's career milestones are a testament to his pure talent and determination. In 2011, he gained international recognition by winning John Digweed’s 'Structures Two' DJ Competition, sponsored by Bedrock and Ableton Live, and in 2016, he was nominated for 'Best Progressive House Artist’ at the Beatport Awards. He also became the first artist ever to release a Progressive House production tutorial after teaming up with SonicAcademy.com, further demonstrating his expertise and commitment to music education.
