Originally released on CD in 2001, the recording was made when Freddys was honing its sound and chops in the Wellington underground music scene, and taken from a mini disc feed from the desk. The stage was literally the back garden of Wellington’s den of iniquity The Matterhorn just down the road from Ghuznee HQ. The audience consisted of a random collection of 30 people most of whom from memory were hospitality workers having a drink after work. Legend.
Having started as a few musician mates playing along to instrumental B-side records dropped by DJ MU aka Fitchie, by 2001 Freddys was a solid six piece who liked nothing better than to jam. Freddys distinctive hi-tek soul qualities shine through led by the velvet vocals of singer Joe Dukie aka Dallas Tamaira. It’s Fulla Flash aka Warren Maxwell on saxophone, the fore runner to Chopper Reeds. Trombonist Hopepa aka Joe Lindsay is yet to join the band.

‘Live At The Matterhorn’ went on to sell Platinum in New Zealand and while it pre-dates the bands record breaking ‘Based On A True Story’ studio album it's a touchstone for those wanting to experience Freddys early jams, the source for where Freddys story began.

Brand new instrumental 'Bohannon Dub'. Hails from the lab of DJ Fitchie who, unbeknown to the bros, hit record while they were jamming in the lead up to a recording session. The title is inspired by Daniel Best's Berlin soulclub 'Bohannon' that he named in honour of American disco stomp musician, bandleader and producer, Hamilton Bohannon. Resurrectors are a 9 piece dub reggae band from Redfern, Sydney comprising an eclectic mix of local talent as well as musicians originally from Barbados, South Africa, England and New Zealand.

The band features some of Sydney’s finest musicians. Cameron Deyell plays in Bertie Blackman’s and Inge Lilestrom’s bands. Jon Pease tours nationally in Paul Mac’s band. Declan Kelly has released a solo album which was quite successful in its own right. Peter Firth is also a permanent member of Kingtide.

Healing is the band’s debut album and has already won them some talented fans:
The album features a bonus remix of the title track by Fat Freddy’s Drop producer and main man DJ Fitchie.

Resurrectors are an amazing live and will be touring extensively on the back of the album. Launches planned for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and Byron Bay. Already they have supported top dub acts including Fat Freddy’s Drop and the Black Seeds.

The album combines great songwriting and soulful performance with a social conscience and in doing so delivers a very powerful and compelling musical message. This is great music made by people living in Australia and singing about Australian subjects. The band tap into a rich and soulful tradition whilst presenting their sound in a current and contemporary style.

After debuting in 1978 with Same Song, Israel Vibration recorded steadily throughout the 1980s and 1990s, issuing three sets -- Feelin' Irie!, Israel Dub and Free to Move -- in 1996 alone."
