Cluster Node is proud to present 'Transmissions #4' with a new mix by Øliver.

Formerly known under a live alias, Øliver emerged as a self-titled solo artist in 2016, the latest electronic project from London-based, Oliver Gibson. Born from within the capitals neglected walls and spaces, Øliver's musical interests lay at an intersection between raw Post-Punk, sharp EBM and machine-cut Techno. 

Working with a DIY aesthetic, the alias was founded on a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Berlin-based duo OPERANT (Instruments of Discipline).

The Berlin-based live duo and production unit, OPERANT, have progressively carved out their own space in the scene with boundary-defying electronic explorations, fuelled with tension and obscurity. 
 Characterised by unrestrained experimentation, the project brutally morphs itself as it pleases, both in performance and in the studio.

Kimi O has a particular view on club music. Under her faux naïf alias, she digs for records outside of the electronic spectrum, often championing the lesser known sounds of tropical goth, post-punk and EBM (Electronic Body Music). Her broad tastes in these genres mostly stems from the 80s, taking as much influence from British groups like The Cure and Cocteau Twins as she does any electronic producer.

This Road Trip album surfaces from pure Ambient Electronica to deliver undulating Downtempo, inviting curvy basslines and morphing cadences to meddle with crafty rhythms, airy pads and rich modular tweaks.

Fundamental order of all the things, such as matter. A particle —-

Because to be, to evolve or to exist in unpolluted way; equipped with a DNA-narrative, from a pre-mutated space dust particle, the seed of all existence, the mega-source —- The Universe. Form and matter architect, total collector of energies, the reason for life and decay.

'Harmony in Chaos' in infinitum and always in tandem. The two mega-forces working on par. Without any hate but not in love. Their parasitic symbiosis is neither an ebb nor a flow. The existence of dust particles in space and time —- mutating, evolving.

It is of an utter importance to once again tune in and observe the nature which radiates from within us. From the very fabric of our close surroundings, and from afar, far beyond the abyss ~

His sound is a dark stylish rhythmic ebm-techno, expressivity of powerful industrial and aggressive energy of punk, which he has brought from his vocalist’s past. Now he also uses his voice a lot , shouting out phrases and words (mostly in russian), In addition to synthesizers and drum machines at his live performances. His last releases were on Up North Records, Crave Tapes and  Buraco. The next is going to be released on a compilation of Idlestates Recordings.
