As of June '09, I play double bass (hence the name) in the Mainstream Jazz band Grooveyard. Nothing much else.

Before, for many years I have been playing guitar and bass in other bands, ranging from Jazz Rock to Funk to New Wave to Pop to Latin to Reggae to World music. Alongside with that, I did (and still do from time to time!) free sessions — a great source of creative inspiration! — namely in the «Session Lounge» (www.myspace.com/SessionLounge).

From my early beginnings, when I «kidnapped» my father's acoustic guitar, applied several materials to the strings, in search of the legendary «fuzz guitar» sound (I almost got it, when I increased the volume of my parent's «Nordmende» Stereo set until the speakers clipped!), later I experimented with home recording: from reel tape to Portastudio, from Atari ST's MIDI sequencing to Mac's first AV capabilities — until now: my aim was and is to find something fresh and interesting, not necessary new or original, wether raw or highly polished… — no matter if I «just» listen to it or I am lucky enough to play it myself. I think those are the greatest moments: when you do something you never thought you were even remotely capable of…

And now, in the «2.0» times of Web, at least discovering the (sometimes disturbing) aspects of this world's people is somehow much easier…!

My passion lays in the arts of techno and my journey of making music started like 2 years ago with my very first synthesizer the Korg-Emx1, which teached me the basics of synthesis and made me fall in love with the concept of creating and exploring the sonic world of sounds.
