This song is about freeing oneself from addictions. In the song an addiction is described and thereafter characterized by "Violet," in dialogue with ones higher wise-self. Ultimately Violet is unsure she can let go of what binds her, but ultimately what is truly needed is to sit still in one's blood, to allow one's wounds to be, and to no longer fill the wounds with false medicine that does not allow it to scab over and heal.
