Since the 90s, the characteristic 303 acid sound has been one of the main elements in most electronic DJ sets. We dedicate a series of online mixes from talented artists, which will contain those smiley-facing sounds. Electro, techno, rave, breakbeats, house, acid acid acid! Every month, a 1-hour acid mix will be uploaded on our Soundcloud!

Next up in our On Acid Series: a blazing mix by Sex Wax, filled with raw 90s acid techno, dusty trance, and spacey rave cuts. Nostalgic, unpredictable, and full of forgotten gems brought back to life.
A true 90s baby, Sex Wax has a deep love for tracks that time forgot – digging up flaming acid and rough bangers that hit hard on today’s dancefloors.
As co-founder of Die Rakete, she helped shape a new sound in the scene, and now brings that same fierce energy to the booth. True to her name, she is set to make you stick!

"I was mesmerized when I first heard acid at an illegal rave a long time ago, and to this day, I still am. In almost every track I play, there’s (at least) a hint of acid and it just makes everything so much more interesting. There’s just something about that sound - it feels like it's out of this world, and its hypnotic energy instantly draws me in.  I think that’s the power of acid!"

Ce genre de souvenir inoubliable !
Plus gros dancefloor devant lequel j’ai eu la chance de jouer jusqu’à ce jour — 9000 personnes sur site selon la Police ^^
C’était démentiel ! Une vraie claque, un énorme kiffe de partager ce bon vieux “son des hangars” avec un public complètement survolté. "La taule qui vibre mon cousin", hahaha !

Ca m'a fait grave plaisir de le réécouter. On sent que j'étais déjà bien fan de lignes de Drums qui groovent de ouf et de textures un petit peu métalliques of course ^^ ! 2, 3 effets un peu mal gérés mais franchement la selecta et la construction du set étaient déjà bien bien extatiques !!!

Et du coup ça ne vous aura pas échappé, ce mix a été enregistré le 14 novembre 2015, au lendemain d’une nuit tragique à Paris. Je le republie aujourd’hui, dix ans plus tard, en rendant une nouvelle fois hommage à toutes les victimes de ce 13 novembre, mais aussi à toutes les vies civiles perdues injustement dans tous les conflits à travers le monde! On oublie pas.
