This journey of discovery is a lifelong one, and we have been blessed lately at the DTW headquarters, to be receiving a good flow of beautiful music from talented cats all over the world.
From Cali, to London, to Paris, we’ve got the corners covered. Our featured artists span a variety of genres, representing that essential diversity at Darker Than Wax. While standard formulas are important for an artist’s identity – these guys prove that the only constant is change, and unearthing fresh, new sounds while on the experimental journey.

The set of exclusive artworks will showcase a specific set of palette, reflecting shapes, moods and atmospheres – perfectly complimenting the music in each feature.
Our recent grassroots signing of FZPZ is shaking things up – for our latest Spotlight series, the prodigal producer provides the freshest cuts of boom bap, sensual soul, and otherworldly synths that come together perfectly in one poignant package. Having released previously on TeamSupreme, Phyla & SVNSET WΛVES, this classically-trained artist is truly one of the freshest souls to have emerged out of the island.
While the lucid arrangements of elements on “Obey” and “Guava” are obvious pleasers, “The Peruvian” is a cult classic – of intense emotions entwined in texture, and harmonic depth.
This flicker of hope is looking to trail blaze Singapura’s promising future of upcoming producers – keep an eye out for more to come.

KEI-LI x Falcxne - Speaking in Tongues 

Canada seems to have an endless stream of superbly talented cats. From Toronto to Montreal, we keep discovering an exciting talent almost every second week!
KEI-LI, of taiwanese origins is a fine example. A self-taught producer, beat-boxer and singer, this young one oozes the type of raw soul-funk vibes that simply hits in the gut. Think of D'Angelo, Bootsy Collins and Parliament, spliced with his beat-boxing skills and you get an idea. It's quite refreshing to discover someone like him in recent times, and we are very proud to say that he is also the latest member to join our growing roster of artists.
'Speaking In Tongues' was a project that he started a while back with his peer Falxcne (another name to watch out for and a DTW fav), and the result is a smooth laid-back soul joint with KEI-LI injecting his bluesy-sounding vocals - One that would make D'angelo himself proud.

I am a healthcare executive completing a dual degree, Master of Public Health / Doctor of Health Sciences, focused on raising awareness about behavioral health, specifically among teens and college students. My dissertation research is focused on raising up the voice of college students beginning with communities of color. I am committed to helping people connect to their purpose in collaboration with mission-aligned leaders. Together we will achieve great things!

Our project is a first step in raising awareness about a national health epidemic. All proceeds are reinvested directly into proactive strategies for improving behavioral health among youth, teens, and young adults in collaboration with community partners.

Our youth, teens, and young adults are reporting the highest levels of loneliness on record according to the U.S. Surgeon General. Our work is going to help change that through simple actions that bring people together for the common good, focused on lifting people up, and creating stronger in person connections.

I started off making the first part of the remix and was going to go with that beat pattern for the rest of the song but then I started messing around with other beat patterns and ended up really feeling the house switch up so I worked that into the song too!
