ECHLN - Step (Feat. Angelo Quila & FonZo)

Following up his recent contribution to the DTW free download series with vocalist Shirah Cheezer, ECHLN brings you a fresh, laid back hip-hop joint featuring MCs FonZo and Angelo Quila. ‘Step’ was conceived at a time when ECHLN wanted to steer his productions toward the dancefloor, yet still retain the mellow vibe that had become a signature of his sound. The result is a bouncy, slow burning beat, accented with spacy percussion and tied together by an infectious, effortless hook. 

Kwetsima Maluleke a.k.a ECHLN (pronounced echelon) is a South African born music producer and sound engineer. He was born and raised in Pretoria and now lives in Cape Town. Since 2009, ECHLN has been forging a unique blend of R&B and hip-hop glued together by uniquely South African soulful elements.
