After a couple of more underground, darker releases on Soundplate Records we are pleased to bring some feel-good summer vibes to the label with this hot new release from Zwette. 

Zwette is a master of feel-good happy music, his last track 'Rush' which was released by Spinnin' Deep has clocked up more than a million views across various Youtube uploads and he has taken his sound around the world playing shows everywhere from his home in Germany to Dubai!


'Feel' is simplistic, bouncy tune with an infectious hook. Like this or not, we promise you will be humming it to yourself for weeks! Alongside the original we have a brilliant remix package featuring three of Zwette's favourite artists of the moment.

Dark Matters is a record label and visual project created by Amirali. As an unknown songwriter and producer, Amirali first shot to prominence with his inaugural release on Crosstown Rebels. He has since toured the globe promoting his particular concoction of avant-garde electronica, techno and house. An extension of his broad musical palette, the label will be running in conjunction with a series of curated parties beginning in October in London.

The Dark Matters record label is a cohesive experience where ‘weird’ and unusual is encouraged, aiming to push people to the edge of their comfort zone and keep them there. Aiming to stand out from the myriad of similar events and releases that happen every week in London and the rest of Europe.

By the very definition of the term Dark Matters, the label aims to initiate a response from the listeners and partygoers. Dark Matters has a connection to galaxies, the mysteries of the universe, the beginning of a concept bigger than we can imagine.

The events will centre around a combination of sound and visuals that express the dark and psychedelic concept behind the label. The crowd will be enveloped by installations, each event will be a collaboration between an art collective and or arts students, keeping the ideas and approach at the forefront of London’s creative scene.

With the aim of releasing original material from live acts and Amirali’s own productions, the scope of Dark Matters is broad, ranging from techno to abstract pop and ambient. The versatility and open-minded creativity will be mirrored in the events and the artwork for the records themselves.

Dark Matters kicks off with an EP from label boss Amirali dropping in July. ‘Fearful Stay’ will be released on vinyl on the 6th of July and digitally on the 3rd of August. The EP features a re-work from future label mate Aboutface and a remix from Prins Thomas. The melodic complexities and hypnotic vocals in Amirali’s original mix are re-worked, securing this EP as a confident and stunning debut.

Time for Criminal Hype to touch down in 2016!! 

Making his Criminal Hype debut is Matt McLarrie! We previously worked with Matt an a few occasions on our sister label Ranura and we knew it was only a matter of time until we brought him over to the mother ship!

Teamed up with fresh new artists RYKY for the title track the guys deliver a straight up House monster. Soft female vocals provide a perfect contrast for a groovin hit after some cheeky 'jack' stabs. This cut will really appeal to the masses with influences and specs of various tastes. 

For the second original Matt brings his is solo track 'Just Say No'. This has more of a heavy rolling vibe than the first, maybe something or a bit later on in the sets. 

For the first release of the year we wanted to bring back some core artists to the remix front. First up we welcome back rapidly rising Manchester lads Martinez & Quadelli. They've stripped the title track back and slapped a rougher, slightly darker edge on it and even sprinkled it was some acid!

Also making his return is Hungarian House Gangster Chiqito! It's and absolute pleasure to have Chiqito back, even more so when his productions are as tight as ever! Chiqito zones in on a real bass work out with his Ghetto remix and provides the perfect dimension on the original.

Severino (from those guys Horse Meat Disco that revolutionized the London nights) and Terry Farley collaborate on this project to produce an infectious contemporary house cut that features a soul-drenched vocal from Roy Inc. "Hard Ton" and "Man Without A Clue" both add their touch on remix duties and take the single in distinctive directions. Hard Ton brings a raw, analogue Chicago-house feel to his mix while Man Without A Clue heads straight to the dancefloor. ‘Music Fills the Air’ is out on download through SoSure Music from 2nd May 2016.

Die Ideen zu der neuesten EP vom Gespann @buchneroberst stammen ursprünglich aus einem Pool von Track-Entwürfen, die ursprünglich mal für ein Album gedacht waren. „Die Tracks sind etwas anders als unsere bisherigen Veröffentlichungen, weniger auf den Dancefloor ausgerichtet, eher experimenteller mit vielen Pop-Einflüssen“, erzählen Andreas Buchner und Sebastian Oberst, „wir haben uns da eher ausgetobt, viel ausprobiert. Ce premier album est une synthèse de mes 10 premières années d'expérimentation avec la musique. Débuté après un voyage en Asie qui à changé ma perception de la musique, c'est un album qui se veut sans genres et sans codes. Une balade électronique et instrumentale évoluant de 100 a 128BPM sur laquelle je suis entouré de mon père, mes amis, leurs instruments et leurs voix pour représenter toutes les influences musicales qui m'ont fait résonner aux cours du temps et de l'espace de la manière la plus authentique possible. Il a été fait dans l'optique de s'écouter sur une plage tropicale au coucher du soleil. Bon voyage.

This album is a synthesis of my 10 first years of wandering in music. Started after a trip in Asia that changed my perception of sound, it is an album without codes or genres. An electronic and instrumental walk evolving from 100 to 128BPM on which I'm featuring my father, my friends and their instruments and voices to represent all my influences toward music that has made my soul resonate through time and space in the most authentic manner possible. We’ve always been a fan of Pablo Bolivar’s sound. He already did a track on Curle018 and we’re glad to have him back on board for a double EP this time. In the meantime he released an album (as Pulshar) &amp; EP on Loco Dice’s Desolat label, did remixes for Audision, Mikkel Metal &amp; SCSI-9, and continued to run his own AvantRoots imprint.
The Spark EP includes two dreamy ambient/electronica tracks, an oldschool electro remix by Versalife ( better known as Conforce) and 3  slightly dub orientated deep techno tracks, which is Pablo Bolivar’s signature sound.
