Fat Wreck Chords is an indie label co-founded in San Francisco by NOFX frontman Fat Mike (Michael Burkett) and Erin Kelly-Burkett, in 1990. The first wave of bands signed to FAT (No Use For A Name, NOFX, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, and more) shaped what became known as the Fat Wreck sound. FAT continues to be an artist-friendly label and has a unique business model of signing bands to one record deals. Going on its third decade, FAT boastfully remains a 100% independently owned and operated company.

Their sublime, ever-evolving mix of poetry and song is delivered through music that is both uplifting and transformative. Yet with all the mysticism and allure of the East which is dominant in their musical heritage, Niyaz is not limited by tradition. Today with four best selling and critically acclaimed albums released on Six Degrees Records, all of which have debuted at #1 on iTunes and garnered the band an incredible amount of media attention including features on NPR, PRI, BBC World and The Huffington Post, Niyaz continues to tour internationally and build on its impressive and loyal fan base worldwide. Led by front woman AZAM ALI ,whose Iranian heritage and Indian upbringing have created a singer of bewitching and richly textured proportions.
