Today we’re super excited to present a mix for our amazing listeners, and it’s from Till Von Sein‘s live set from the infamous DoLab Stage at Coachella. For those of you that haven’t been at the desert-based festival and spent some time at the crazy stage, it’s the little sorta-secret area that doesn’t nearly get the props it deserves. It also boasts home (for those two miraculous weekends) to some of the best and brightest underground stars in the dance and electronic world. 

Till Von Sein is finally releasing his set from the festival, and we’re absolutely loving the vibes on the piece. The artist actually doubles as a booking agent in Berlin for some high profile artists like Soul Clap, Wolf + Lamb, Fritz Kalkbrenner, plus many others. With his knowledge in the industry paired with the soul of an artist, he’s an absolutely unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

He recently released an album back in May titled Precious.

[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] presents its 67th release: Daverage J. Normal — Ground State EP

From the fog of Croydon, like a radio transmission from the depths of the subconscious, comes Daverage J. Normal (@thedaverage) — debuting on [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] with a story where electronic music doesn’t just play — it breathes. Ground State EP is the opening scene of a film shot in the twilight of inner space.

Four original acts:

::: “Sated” sets the tone with minimalist yet hypnotic pulses, feeding a subtle hunger with sonar-like waves.
::: “Finish What You Start” acts as a manifesto of intent — looping patterns build a quiet resolve, drawing the listener deep into its spiral of determination.
::: “Ghost” is a shimmer of echoes — sonic phantoms that slip through the air, returning in whispers to haunt the edges of perception.
::: “Being” floats like breath on glass — delicate, impermanent, and laced with the residue of what was.

::: Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer (@enercube & @x_fr) delivers the “Ultimate Dub” — a deep dive into foundational dub techno, reverent yet forward-looking.
::: Individu (@echo-organik974) reshapes “Being” in noir tones — like a sleepless city echoing only with traffic lights and heartbeats.
::: d.lawrence (@d-lawrence-3000) renders “Ghost” as an atmospheric thriller — ghost steps in an abandoned terminal, tension hiding behind every reverb.
::: emesh (@music_ams) signs off with “Ghost (on the clouds)” — a dream over the void, floating but grounded, radiant but shadowed by silence.

Ground State EP pulses like a dot on a radar — neither beginning nor end, but pure presence. It’s a sonic meditation on what lies beneath: unhurried impulses, rhythms without force, depth without bottom.

Recorded live at The Cityfox Experience at the Brooklyn Mirage, July 1, 2017 (also playing that night were Stephan Bodzin, Recondite and Tale of Us).

I knew I would have my work cut out for me with this time slot given the large difference in styles between the preceding and following artists, so this may sound like a peaktime set in reverse.  However, as most of you who follow my mixes know, i tend to be quite long-winded in my approach, so fitting a meaningful progression while keeping the energy high, within the confines of an unexpectedly shortened timeslot was a difficult but fruitful exercise.  Coupled with trying to reconnect my guitar pedals at the last minute (with only half success),  it was a stressful start but i got into a comfortable zone quickly.  Its a pretty bumpy ride through a number of styles of heavier techno and electro, but i'm never one to play it safe.  probably shows with the BoC stylings of the closing as well.

Naveen G - Live at The Cityfox Experience Brooklyn Mirage [July 2017]

“Well, I’ve been travelling a lot. Italy, the UK and Japan were my highlights. More holidays than work so I got lucky. Playing music for people I would never ever dare to call ‘work’ anyways. Besides I set up my new studio above Renate club here in Berlin. Maybe this was a bit of work then? Building absorbers, renovating and stuff to make the room sound good, you know. So I’m looking forward to next winter season where I should be spending a lot time inside by then. Wait, no heating installed yet. Damn.

The mix was recorded at my Neukölln apartment. I was using the Standard setup: My beloved 10 year old Rane Empath Rotary Mixer, a bunch of CDJs as well as the classic Technics 1210. Another amp from the 80s and one day I got some older Canton speakers. Music all went into the tascam recorder. So that is that.

The idea of a dj mix, that is still a tough one. After thinking about it for months (or seconds for that matter) I just told myself ‘it’s basically one hour of dance music’ … right? So I went through my digital and analog shelves and went for a selection of music I like to play and (rarely but it happens) dance to these days. A lot of upcoming stuff I made myself plus some soon-to-be-released music and some arpy trance classic back from 1993 as a bonus. So yeah a bit of everything, including sloppy mixes. I tried hard not to get you bored. Maybe we should call this mix ‘The Idea Of A Trance Part 7’?”

After some more vacational days I’ll have the honour to play some shows around including Amsterdam and finally Robert Johnson, which is my definition of a club ever since. And god. I love to DJ. The motivation gets better each and every year. No kidding. On the producer side of things I have 2 more EPs coming your way early fall. Both on my own labels ‘Frank Music’ and ‘Fine’. One of them is called “Giovanni Frizzante” and it does what it says on the tin. Italo time. Before you ask – yeah you will actually hear it in the mix. Also a bit proud that Mr. Prins Thomas provided another Diskomiks for us.”
