LewRey are all about combinations. A multi-talented new duo with an exciting genre-straddling sound, the band name itself combines both names of principal songwriter Lewis Reynolds just as the two musicians combine a wide range of shared influences to create songs that defy easy pigeon-holing. Driven by soulful vocals & Ian Walker’s pounding grooves, the boys mix their love of pop, RnB & indie rock into infectious hooks perfect for radio playlists & festival fans.
Since forming in 2014, they’ve taken both an old school and 21st century approach to building a fanbase. They’ve earned their live stripes in the time-honoured tradition of touring hard, yet have also utilised the power of social media to build a following.
Playing over 100 shows in the last year has seen them become a great live band, and they’ve won over music lovers at festivals like Tramlines, Green Belt & The Big Feastival. The band were handpicked to join the prestigious Coffee House 2015 tour, and wowed student audiences at Universities around the country in the summer. Support slots with acts as varied as Professor Green, Danny Howard, MistaJam, The Pigeon Detectives, Pendulum & Sigma have gained them new fans and illustrates their cross-genre appeal.
