Love seeing some dark synthwave represented here. I guess that is in your name. I get the vibe you're going for. I think it would help if there was more of a sense of space. The melodic synth seems a bit too forward. Put me in a big gothic cathedral. A bit more crunch to the drums might help too. I love this style.

Very nice 80s atmosphere and therefore everything done right. The melodies are great, not too much, not too little. I also find your overall sound very authentic. Maybe the melody sound is a bit too loud and maybe some kind of chorus is missing, but I think I have the same problem in my song. LOL. Nevertheless: I like it very much!

Some little suggestions - I was missing some bass to fill out the 'gap' between the the lower end drums and made the lead pluck a little bit quieter. Still enjoyed your track especially it's style and also well done sounddesign forgot for a moment it was done with myth :P

Some of the fun experiments in this track:
* All effects in-synth. No mastering effects. LUFS low to minimize clipping.
* The track features 3 different main time signatures with some effort into seamless transitions.
* Melody / arp lines time warped with non-linear time-warping homebrew scrips (sinus and exponential time mapping).
* Multi-instrumental 1/8 echo delay. I.e. the delays are using different Myth instruments.
* Tempo is linearly changing between 90 and 135 BPM during most of the track.
* Sound design. Just random knob turning to taste, LFO stuff and effects.
* All EQs and reverbs are in-synth.
* Most volume mixing with MIDI velocity. (not 100% though).

Style: Electronic Soundtrack Circa. With Pop, Classical and Drone
elements.

~8 instances of MYTH VST3 in EXT64 beta (see screenshot at KVR thread).
~1 custom sample imported in MYTH for 2 drums sounds.
~free VST effects:  RSS EQ302, EfektorGQ36, LoudMax64.

What about this MYTH synth? Surely it sounds good, but of the many
'mangling' resynthesis features some I found too grainy or useless, sounding to me
like many alternative types of harmonic distortions. Therefore too
expensive as CPU load for the actual results, those could be replaced
with focused external plug-in effects, in studio use.
What I liked most of MYTH is the easy adding of envelopes and
synced LFOs to modulate the parameters, very good.

submission for the KVR One Synth Challenge #189: Myth

Here the storyline/thoughts behind this track: Compared to the universe we are just small grains of sand in a desert and that's why we shouldn't worry so much. The soft lead bell sound stands for us little humans with all our worries. The first big epic chorus stands for the universe which makes our worries seem completely irrelevant compared to it. The second chorus contains traces of the bell sound which symbolizes the unity of the small mankind and the giant universe (meaning we should find a balance/harmony between too much and too little worries).

This is my entry "Mythic Odyssey" for the 189th edition of the KVR One Synth Challenge. All sounds were generated using the Myth plugin with a mix of free and included effects in Ableton Live 11.

I aim to make some artwork for the track tomorrow as I needed to post it before the end of the month.
