Hi, welcome to Dark Sessions, today is Monday, May 3 of 2021. Our fifth episode It’s not like the usual, we want to share with you the situation going on in our country, and it is our way to protest against the government in Colombia. The government and specially the president are carrying out a tax reform in the midst of the pandemic, to tax the basic foods and primary services like water, energy, gas, and salaries of up to usd 650, among others primary things; while the government is spending billions of the budget in weapons, publicity to improve the president’s bad image, armored SUVs for the president, warplanes, and more. Meanwhile the people are starving, out of work, and living difficult situations because of the pandemic. At least 45% of Colombian population are living below poverty line. For these reasons in the third peak of the pandemic and the worst of them, the population are protesting on the streets to overthrow the reform and government, and the president action was sending the armed forces against us, they are killing us, shooting against the people, denigrating the right to protest with excessive use of force, raping, unjustifiably detaining, beating, and murdering. Today, we raise the voice of the international community to help us by denouncing this situation against human rights. To this mission we present an emerging guest and friend who has been sharing his music amid the protests. Juan Esteban Calderon AKA Atmost was born in Armenia city. Juan is a versatile artist, who experiments between mental, groove and dark techno. Inspired by artists such as Christian Wunsch, Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims, Setaoc Mass, Jeroen Search, among others. Enjoy and share our way of contributing to all those who fight for a better and fairer country.

Hola, bienvenido a Dark Sessions, hoy es lunes 3 de mayo de 2021. Nuestro quinto episodio no es como de costumbre, queremos compartir con ustedes la situación que está pasando en nuestro país, y es nuestra forma de protestar contra el gobierno en Colombia. El gobierno y especialmente el presidente están llevando a cabo una reforma tributaria en medio de la pandemia, para gravar los alimentos básicos y servicios primarios como agua, energía, gas y salarios hasta de usd 650, entre otros rubros primarios; mientras que el gobierno gasta miles de millones del presupuesto en armas, publicidad para mejorar la mala imagen del presidente, camionetas blindadas para el presidente, aviones de combate y más. Mientras tanto, la gente pasa hambre, no tiene trabajo y vive situaciones difíciles a causa de la pandemia. Al menos el 45% de la población colombiana vive por debajo del umbral de pobreza. Por estos motivos en el tercer pico de la pandemia y el peor de ellos, la población está protestando en las calles para derrocar la reforma y el gobierno, y la acción del presidente fue enviar a las fuerzas armadas contra nosotros, nos están matando, disparando contra las personas, denigrando el derecho a protestar con uso excesivo de la fuerza, violando, deteniendo injustificadamente, golpeando y asesinando. Hoy, alzamos la voz de la comunidad internacional para que nos ayude denunciando esta situación contra los derechos humanos. A esta misión presentamos a un invitado y amigo emergente que ha estado compartiendo su música en medio de las protestas. Juan Esteban Calderon AKA Atmost nació en la ciudad de Armenia. Dilemma Podcast 072 Gotshell from Colombia. @Gotshell aka Alessan Main, is the great ambassador of the scene of the Colombian electronic music. After its first release on the legendary Techno label, Planet Rhythm in 2014, more than 10 releases, 12¨, came out on labels like Nachtstrom Schallplatten, EPM music and James Ruskin's Blueprint. His Remixes on two of the more historical bases of acid techno, Synewave and Missile Records,They caught the attention of many of the key DJs on the scene. What Carl Cox, who hired him at Intec under his alias Alessan Main. Other Soto's project, was the collaboration with Dantiez Saunderson in Kms Records, Kevins Saundersons label.
Unpredictable rhythms, chaotic and psychedelic soundscapes
describes his live sets that have regularly taken him to each part of his country of origin, Colombia and a successful European tour last year (2017) which started at the Tresor Club, Berlin.
Inspired by the first wave of old school techno, it mixes the advanced sound of the genre and expands deeper into even more electronic and instrumental music styles like IDM,ambient, experimental, dub, just to name a few examples.
Gotshell is an artist who always hopes to keep a composition aesthetic and refined of underground culture.
