Electronic music producer from the west of France who mainly makes Drum & Bass. DarKYYComet is attracted by future and experimental breaks but tends to say his music is the link between old, mid and new school, blends underground with mainstream musical genres to give his sound a unique approach. He's been producing for about four years now and listening to D&B since the age of 19 years old, released his first two tracks on Nu Venture Records in 2021 and now very excited to release for 2023-2025 on PZYCCO Recs., Vahana Records, Subplate Recordings, Stoic Music, C Recordings, Riot Records, Interstellar Audio, Influenza Media and Outer Edge Audio. Born in Cleveland, OH, the enigmatic producer Sound On Tape draws influence from legends El-B, Burial, Mr. Fingers, Kraftwerk and Sticky as well as deep seated Jazz icons Bill Evans and John Coltrane.

DJ Mag writes that his debut album Price is “rooted in garage, R&B, jazz and house, and brimming with sumptuous gems — the gospel-tinged ‘If You’re Free (Say So)’ and swooning garage / slow-jam hybrid ‘Burnin’ Out’ are particular standouts — it’s rich and heartfelt, the kind of album that stays with you long after the music stops.” Released via his own imprint 904L World Class Sound, the project sonically places him alongside contemporaries Overmono, Burial, Sammy Virji, and Emma-Jean Thackray.
