Welcome to our new song "The Winner" (remastered 10-4-16).

Oliver's story behind this song
A few days ago I felt not good in the evening, I was bothered with my past again.
A very, very long music break I had in my life and wondered why, why it was so ........
and got me at a low point (nadir)!
Since over 8 years I was not allowed to play piano, many deep thoughts came up, you know that too?
My wife noticed it immediately, that the tears haunted me and I was so much mused. She took me by the arm and said, Olli look forward and let the past behind you who has done you no good!
That was such a nice feeling for me! Especially in this moment like this, when the woman I love, gives me so much strength when she stands beside me.
A day later I was playing the piano and have just the songs of John and played me again.
I remembered all the talks I had with John Styles about music (when he was with us in Bremen) he teached me how to build up songs, suddenly I noticed this song lacked a bridge!
I was so engrossed playing in the music and I did not realize that my wife was standing next to me, and she was totally happy.
Since I always play with headphones she said, save immediately Olli, and I sent it immediately to John, as I we’re both so rejoiced and very doll to find out what he would find of this song, luckely John was also excited about this song, and we were looking forward to see what great complementary ideas John would add to it, and to see how the song would sound like in the end.
Here I have learned a lot from John and had to play much in mind when, just once again had a creative day.
While playing this song, I already had an idea how to play the strings, a chorus, a tune which I then had with the strings. Next, I tried on a flute, because it was supposed to be alive all along.
Through talks via Skype, sending emails with all tracks back and forth, we were working on the song, John kept adding more instruments and changing the harmonies of all instruments till everything sounded the way we wanted it to be, and then he multi layered all the tracks to create the proper dynamics and space for each separate instrument so everything could be heard properly.

We really hope you will enjoy this peace just as much as we did creating it, and it may give you some comfort too as we believe everybody has their own story to overcome.

Welcome to our new song and our interpretation / cover and tribute too The Beatles, “Free as a Bird”

History of “Free as a Bird”:

"Free as a Bird" was originally recorded by John Lennon in 1977, and although Lennon had died in 1980, the three remaining Beatles agreed they would pretend that Lennon had "gone for lunch", or had gone for a "cup of tea" The remaining Beatles, overdubs and production were done between February and March 1994, and they recorded a track around Lennon's basic song idea, but which had gaps they had to fill in musically.  Some chords were changed, and the arrangement was expanded to include breaks for McCartney and Harrison to sing extra lines. Harrison played slide guitar in the solo, and Jeff Lynne was asked to produce the song. 

The original tape of Lennon singing the song was recorded on a mono cassette, with vocals and piano on the same track, They were impossible to separate, so Jeff Lynne had to produce the track with voice and piano together, but commented that it was good for the integrity of the project, as Lennon was not only singing occasional lines, but also playing on the song.

Although the song received the 1997 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, it was very much criticised, not be a genuine Beatles song, it was seen as a publicity gimmick, exploiting the Beatles brand, and owing less to the Beatles than to Lynne.
The song reached the top 10 almost everywhere, but did not reach the number 1 position anywhere.

The Euphoriqa Production:

Matt Baker and John Styles recorded an instrumental version between June and August 2013, but it ended up on the shelf because we didn’t have the proper guitars and vocals for it.
June 2016 Hemmo Riihelä and John Styles picked up this instrumental version and continued to recording the missing Guitars and all the vocals, and adjusted the Bass, Piano’s, Synth and Strings and added some extra instruments to create the proper harmonies that would fit the lead and backing vocals.
Although we’ve given this song our own signature (especially at the encore) we’ve listened to Jeff Lynne’s way of producing this song many times, to stay as close as possible as he intended the song to be.
It took us more then a month sending tracks back and forth to complete this song the way we wanted both to sound like, especially the harmonies between the vocals and instruments gave us a lot of headaches and work to get it all done properly, but we hope we finally accomplished that anyway. 

We hope you’ll enjoy this song just as much as we did working on it.

King Of The Dawn

Experimenting with something new.  Looking to achieve that sound with a fun Pop feel to it with Lounge vibes.  I've been lucky enough to secure the vocals of an immensely talented Australian singer for this track the vocals at this point are really place markers.  The vocals will be really opened up and developed.  However this is the final musical arrangement.  I hope you enjoy the track.

Darque Krystal emerged onto the Dance/Trance scene in early 2012.  The first tracks where written between February and July 2012 being One Leap of Faith, I've Got to Go and Fall into My Love.  Teaming up with the powerhouse singer Desiree Doyle these tracks where recorded and a single One Leap of Faith released in September 2012.  All three songs topped the local Australian JJJ radio charts and both Leap of Faith and Fall into your love achieved international acclaim through leading placements in the international song competition based in the U.S.A  Desiree and Darque then went on to record further tracks in the end of 2012 and early 2013 being It Doesn't Matter, Army of Angels and One Winters Night.  Both It Doesn't Matter and Army of Angels both reached to top of the local JJJ radio charts again with Army of Angels reaching the finals in the International Song contest.  In July 2013 Desiree and Darque parted company however remain trusted musical advisers.  Between July 2013 and November 2013 a series of extended mixes where released by Darque of One Leap of Faith , I've got to go, Army of Angels, Fall into your Love and One Winters night.  All of these proved to be immensely popular right across the world.  By now Darque Krystal was making a name for himself in trance/EDM producers scene known for producing track heavily inspired by the immense sounds of Europe. Darque Krystal is one of premier producers in this style.
In November 2013 Darque formed the long term musical partnership with Trance singer Sam Vince. Since then the tracks Take Me Home, Light a Fire and An Angel Knows my name have been written and premiered on soundcloud.  Sam's voice is a perfect compliment for Darque's tracks which resulted in some truly special productions.  Both Take me Home and Light A Fire topped the JJJ radio charts.  Light A fire has also topped the Australian N1M site.  Darque and Sam have been approached my many labels but are still in the writing phase to complete an EP then release options will be explored.  In the meantime Darque has also completed a remix of the popular DJ Xquisite track Back aqainst the Wall" and with other mixes provided by Trance Maven James Cognet and Terry Clive of Trance4live Records, peaked at number 25 on the top 100 trance releases on Beatport.  Due to the quality and delicate texture of Sam's voice she is now in demand internationally and has a couple of releases out with some fantastic producers at the moment as well as Darque in demand as a remixer internationally.
