This is the first installment of a series of Gatecrasher inspired Classic Trance mixes. Gatecrasher to me personally marked the beginning of a long journey into the very deepest echelons of the genre of Dance music. 
From listening to one of my mates' CD compilations through one earphone that I was sharing of his, I was hooked on this new kind of sound I had never heard before. After hearing this I then was made aware that this was a new movement of House and Trance music, and so I had to immerse myself in the best club experience, that I have still to this day, experienced in my life. There really is no way of being able to recreate those days in the Republic, other than gaining pure nostalgia from the treasured tracks that still stand strong today. Here is the second installment to my Gatecrasher Experiences series. This series will be focusing on the tracks that were one of the clubbing  pioneers of the best era of dance music, known as  Gatecrasher. In this second episode in the series, I have focused more on a peak time style mix, including some of the best known tracks of Classic Trance, which also have been played at Gatecrasher events or been featured on the brand's compilations throughout the years. Thankyou for the great response and feedback for the first episode, it absolutely blew me away. I only hope I can achieve the same with this episode and future episodes. I've recently been reading up on definitions of Trance music which may sometimes be considered the most ambiguous genre of dance music. "Trance is usually characterised as having anthemic, epic, rifting and psychedelic qualities with the term "Classic" for those songs that would truly describe what Trance was supposed to be."

Whilst I would generally agree with the description, Classics are subjective and it is down to personal preference. Good and bad music is what it has always been about for me. The good music is able to stand the ultimate test of time and even after many years, listeners can still clearly recall that distinct vocal hook or melody in the back of their minds.

I'm pleased to introduce you to the second volume of Classic Trance. I had a lot of fun reliving cherished memories whilst creating this mix during lockdown. The variety of tracks selected worked really well together and from the very start of those 3 hours, it clearly sets the tone of greater things to come. It's like a hypnotic rush of Trance bursting with all that energy and excitement!!
