Daz's GC sets

This is the first installment of a series of Gatecrasher inspired Classic Trance mixes. Gatecrasher to me personally marked the beginning of a long journey into the very deepest echelons of the genre of Dance music. 
From listening to one of my mates' CD compilations through one earphone that I was sharing of his, I was hooked on this new kind of sound I had never heard before. After hearing this I then was made aware that this was a new movement of House and Trance music, and so I had to immerse myself in the best club experience, that I have still to this day, experienced in my life. There really is no way of being able to recreate those days in the Republic, other than gaining pure nostalgia from the treasured tracks that still stand strong today. Gatecrasher Experiences Ep. 1

Here is the second installment to my Gatecrasher Experiences series. This series will be focusing on the tracks that were one of the clubbing  pioneers of the best era of dance music, known as  Gatecrasher. In this second episode in the series, I have focused more on a peak time style mix, including some of the best known tracks of Classic Trance, which also have been played at Gatecrasher events or been featured on the brand's compilations throughout the years. Thankyou for the great response and feedback for the first episode, it absolutely blew me away. I only hope I can achieve the same with this episode and future episodes. Gatecrasher Experiences EP. 3

Hi guys here is the 4th installment of Gatecrasher Experiences. Sorry for the delay in getting this one out, but I had an accident with my laptop, which left me without it for a couple of weeks. This mix starts with a slow, chilled and deep sound, for the first hour. Exploring the more Progressive tracks that Gatecrasher would typically warm up their nights with deep tracks with a hint of a groove, to get your feet shuffling and your head nodding, allowing you to settle into the environment and to be able to have a chat and mooch about. Then we get into those typical Crasher Classics, bringing back those old memories of pure Euphoria.

Gatecrasher Experiences Ep.8 Mixed By Johnny Davison & Daz Helme

I have had this mix sitting in my USB for about 6 weeks now and after a few failed attempts, mistakes and general fu*k ups during recording, I have finally managed to get it done and uploaded.

At 2 hours and 30 minutes long, it is the longest mix I have in my library, but it's all classics from the best era of trance (in my opinion of course). So I hope you enjoy it.

Well Summer is here again, and before I go away for my holiday, I wanted to post Gatecrasher Experiences Episode 10. In this episode I asked Lewis Mann to be the next in line to drop a mix for the series, which he kindly accepted. With a late mix full of Trancers and Bangers, belting out at 140 BPM all the way, Lewis has provided the first Vinyl mix of the series, starting out with ‘Massive’ and ending with the Crazy & Banging Bangkok. Huge thanks to Lewis for getting involved, I appreciate all your time and thought gone into this mix, and for recreating those treasured days of the Gatecrasher era.

The Thrillseekers Reconnected vs Lange Retrospect. Part 1

Hi everyone, it feels like it’s been a while since I last posted any music. I had some nice time away on holiday. Fortunately I’m now feeling all refreshed, it’s time to get back into the music. So today, I thought I would drop Gatecrasher Experiences episode 11. In this one I have invited back Rob Kellaghan, this time to change things up, he will be taking on the Early mix, as opposed to his previous late mix, which went down very well. His mix starts with Deep, Proggy sounds which build up gradually and methodically into more uplifting territories which provides a great warm up to pass onto my Late mix, which gets into the more driving and uplifting sounds of crasher, as usual with a few rare hidden gems aswell as being well balanced with some of the more popular classics.
