Delicate and moving cover. Cassidy was certainly a unique and influential character. I think you've caught his spirit in this bright, flowing song.

If I were to pull this out of the old vinyl collection, it would fit perfectly with so many of those old 60s albums. Charming and timeless cover. :)

Had a great rehearsal session last night. Well, the performance wasn't that great, but it was the first time in a long time since we got to play with an acoustic drum kit and amps out loud. And I got to record it too on a nifty Zoom H8 multitrack recorder.

So here is mixed down but otherwise unedited "My Dark Side" in all it's livey flawness.

My Dark Side (live session)

This song explores the good and bad in all of us.  We're all incredibly complex beings, and we all live with our internal demons.  The lyrics regarding a fly buzzing around an incandescent are a tongue-and-cheek reference to The Exorcist movie.  :)  There's a balance that we all try to maintain; some fail, some exceed,  but the vast majority of us live in the middle ground, the grey.
