St. Petersburg based musicians Andrey Kinly, Anton Berezin and Grigory Babak have managed an independent electronic music VA named Hand to Hand to support the human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution.

The human rights situation in Russia is becoming more acute each year. We believe that the violation of human rights is unacceptable. With Hand to Hand VA we want to draw public attention to this problem and provide assistance to organizations involved in helping people faced with arbitrariness. We have brought together like-minded musicians who share the ideas of cooperation, freedom and unity.
All proceeds from the VA will be split equally between the Russian human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution).

Hi, my name is Ian Yeriomenko. I'm a Foley Artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. I've also been known as a musician radiant futur. I've devoted all my life to music, I was doing it from early childhood.
Today I can't write music.
On February 24th, 2022, russian army invaded the territory of Ukraine. At 5 am regular troops of russian federation gad started fire our cities and villages, using multiple rockets launchers and ballistic missiles. Infantry and armoured vehicles trespassed the Ukrainian border. russian soldiers are killing civilians, they drop bombs and missiles on the residential houses, hospitals, schools, maternity hospitals.
In one moment vladimir putin and his kremlin gang of murderers and propagandists broke million lives of Ukrainians, including mine. I can't do my work of life anymore. Instead, I'm hiding in bomb shelters, volunteering in the meantime, and helping civilians and Ukrainian army. I'm shaking at every explosion I hear, and I don't if tomorrow day will come.
vladimir putin and his circle is making a genocide of Ukrainians hiding behind deceitful and cynic justifications. russian army shelling our cities with ballistic missiles, multiple rocket launchers, gunnery of various calibers, using thermobaric rockets and dropping cluster munitions  that are prohibited by international law. right to the residential areas.

Please spread this information in media, among politicians of every level, wherever you can. PLEASE HELP us, otherwise it might be too late, and vladimir putin murderer will come to your home to take everything you care in your life most.

For years, I've been creating a lot of music which I couldn't finish and release trying to cope with psychological trauma. Now I understand that tomorrow I may not wake up, and I took a decision to upload my music as it is. It will be available in soundlcoud and bandcamp, all the money raised will go to Ukrainian army support.

Please, Take My Hand While We Alive

"The one with the Eyes" by R. Gamble is Marguerite Records' 13th release.
The tracks were all written between the summer and fall of 2020. The pandemic was in its bewildering initial phase when daily life had come apart from its familiar rhythms. The tracks describe this disruption and the return to a musical primordial state by limiting the field of vision to locate the essential. In fact, the artist limited himself with one synthesizer, one drum machine, and a sequencer and the instinct guided him shaping these little vignettes. Now nearly two years later they’re being released into a world that has in many ways resumed its regulated flow. We hope people can still catch a glimpse of that other world outside of time, the vague fear crystallized, the shadows made by afternoon sunbeams gliding like continents across the floor. Marguerite Records owners the duo Bianco Negativo were strongly impressed by the last album track 'Precious Arc' and decided to make a remix in a dark cinematic key.

Premiere: Poison Point - The Lost Wind [SIS/01]

Skalbiankė is a new independent music label based in Vilnius, Lithuania. With focus on the local underground music scene with some spot-on occasional international collaborators, the project is described by its curators as “an occasional brainwash”. The good kind of brainwashing, though, not the bad one, we are safe.

For its third instalment, a beautiful VA was compiled, featuring some fine young and promising local talents. Named after the most beautiful season of the year, the compilation delivers twelve cuts ranging from Acid Balearic to Electronica, from Electro to Techno, plus some other hard-to-pigeonholing themes.

“Ancient civilizations have long recognized the power of Spring: a season of renewal and rebirth. In fact, many of them started their year count from the spring equinox, a time when the world seemed to come alive after the brutal winter”, states de official description of the release.     

Premiered here, Phun Thomas’s contribution is definitely one of the highlights of the VA. His “Kites” fly high with its modular synth layers, mesmerising stabs, and dreamy pads. Just don’t think it is a soothing and serene piece – its gait is definitely frenzied and berserk, ready for peak-time appearances.
