This week’s Étude is a piece you might have already heard if you listened to the Ambient Live Set on Nie Wieder Schlafen's YouTube channel (@niewiederschlafen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1WDycZ1vmk&t=1s). I made this one sometime in late September / early October 2017, while having a late night rendez-vous with the Korg Minilogue Synthesizer. This piece turned into what you’re hearing now within a couple of hours rather naturally, consisting of 4 tracks only, all made with the Minilogue Synth, some Reverb and Delay. That’s it.

Ahmad aka. Quatri has developed into one of the most promising young artists in this industry. It is a truly wonderful thing, to find a raw diamond, that is open to listen and focus on the sound you try to help form through words and references. Starting from day one back in 2017, Ahmad was paying attention to all these words, understanding and creating his own idea of the sound we asked for. We are now at a point, where Quatri has not only listened, but immensely guided the sound of Nie Wieder Schlafen. A special bond, that will continue to grow and evolve. 

"Fjara" gives a good picture of how far Quatri and Nie Wieder Schlafen have come. And don't you dare think we have reached our goals - we have still so much to explore. "Leviathan" is a production, that tells the story of the sounds we have gone through the last months. A production bringing together the different moods, that continue to fascinte us. A tammed beast - smooth yet dangerous, elegant yet rough :  A sound with an undefined emotion - a feeling of excitement and mystery, balanced between the dark and the bright. Enjoy.

"Fjara" will be available to support on December 28th.

Étude No. 36 is a remake of a piece I made around one year ago, which has been used as the last track for my ambient live set (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1WDycZ1vmk). The vocals are by Eckhart Tolle - a spiritual teacher and the author of “The Power of Now”, one of the most influential books for me personally. The Polish DJ and producer (real name Martyna Maja) being a proud alumn of Warsaw’s Brutaz club night and Jasna1 club (as well as one of Discwoman’s most recent acquisitions), it is no wonder her style overflows with dark energy and tenacious ravey vibes. Her Repitch debut channels this same ardor into four heavy-hitting bangers that serve as sonic power conductors and ecstatic stamina enhancers.
