A classic song from the legendary 1971 album Sticky Fingers, "Cant You Hear Me Knocking" embeds a classic Stones rock cut and a phenomenal Santana-like groovy instrumental jam. 

Mick Taylor later explained that this second part was not planned at all. Thinking the recording session was over, he started improvising and the band followed on. The sax and congas bringing this latin/groove feel to the jam.

I have always loved talking about tunes and try to share what i know re background info about the act or how I came across the song or my copy of the record. I didn't double check but i think most of these were posted last year, not that it matters.  There's some killer tunes in this mix, some are things i've loved since they came out in the early 80s whilst others i only discovered in the last 6 months. I hope you find something you like.

Started Djing back in 1996 at my local nightclub called The Zone playing warm up sets which led to a long running Friday Night Residency alongside SGR / VIBE FM Dance shows Busta Brooker and Joe T at Club Valentino's in Colchester. Had a show on pirate radio and became a regular of two of the areas best club nights; S.I.N and Inspired Records. Worked two seasons in Aiya Napa in 2005/06 where i played various bars including Cocoa, Napa Dreams, Buzz Bar, Cosmapol and Nissi Beach. Early influences came from 3 local Dj's - Rossi & EZT for their amazing mixing skills and Busta Brooker for always playing the best tunes. Djing took a back seat while i went travelling and then starting a family but keeping the flame alive through Soundcloud / Mixcloud so many thanks for listening and all your lovely favourites, shares and comments, always appreciated ❤️
