The second song requested by my friend Rhiannon to go on the cover request album "To-Do List". I started it sometime around 23:00 (11:00 p.m.) and finished just now at 5:54. xD

Here's a background of the album "The Hazards of Love", which this song came from as well as my interpretation of the song (terribly written, but it's not an essay. :P):

"The Rake's Song" basically explains the Rake who has no remorse in the killing off of his offspring.
The lyrics are very dark and quite evil, so I make an example of this by telling a story, making it seem light at first, but then progressively growing more maniacal as the song progresses.
This is exemplified by adding more of a Metal feel to the song compared to the original.
As I enter the second verse, I introduce the children and how the Rake has no care for his children, getting more vicious in my timbre and adding some vocal fry. He goes on to explain that he wants to live a free life without having to care for his children, so I begin to sound more insane as I explain how the Rake intends to kill his children in the most inhumane ways.
Next, I add a small chuckle before I describe the deaths in a very dark and evil tone of voice as the drums and guitar mimic the same theme. The guitar for example, adds a natural harmonic adding to the chaos.
Finally in the end, I go back to a calm and collected tone to exemplify the Rake's lack of remorse for his murders.

I wrote this for my cousin Jessie and her Husband Matt for their wedding  ( This is their love story/ wedding song) haha. Its very personal. Jessie is like  sister to me and I love her with all my heart, I'm really thankful to have her in my life. I'm really happy that she  found a guy like Matt he's really one of a kind and a great guy.
