After a first track on our last VA, the now Berlin-based French artist Gannein is back on Prima Materia with his 'Transitional State' EP.

The 4 original tracks are a good reflection of Gannein's work, mixing textured, hypnotic tools like the eponymous 'Transitional State' with more tribal elements like 'Initiation Rite', as well as tracks designed for dark dancefloors like 'Mismatched Code' and 'This Is Us'.

Mikrotakt offers a deeper, stripped-down version of 'Transitional State', while Illnurse reworks 'This Is Us' into a peak time driving bullet.

We're delighted to add this EP to our catalogue, which reflects the label's sound with lethal precision.

Daryn Steytler is a techno producer from Cape Town/Stellenbosch, South Africa, known for his underground sound that features intricate drum rhythms, raw grooves and modular sequences influenced by his drumming background. As the founder and director of LINKED, an event company that feeds into the ever growing techno scene in Cape Town. He uses his residency at Mødular night club to push his sound and other artists. He also runs an independent label KONCEPT, drawing inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere of LINKED events. His music has been released on notable labels such as BCCO in Berlin, Trauma in Portugal, and DUPLICITY Records in the UK, among others.
