Re-Ex Podcast Episode 68 - Halloween Special: with Sabrina Valen

'A year after the debut EP of Brian Cid on the label, we are very happy to announce that he is back with a new one titled 'Message X'. Again, really abstract and hypnotic productions, with a very high tension. This collection of tracks is a journey that slowly evolves itself into a real exploration.

The first track ‘Shoreless Ocean’ is the slowest one of the three and has a great groove on the low-end in combination with its percussion. Its repeating main synth brings you in a hypnotic state of mind after which some surprising elements come to the front. 

‘Golden Key’ transits this state of mind into the track. On top of its static, but yet dynamic and groove-creating percussion, some very extraterrestrial synths are hovering its way throughout the arrangement. 

The final track is the title track of the EP. Here the tempo goes up more in order to go towards an impressive techno experience. The track consists of long-stretched atmospheric elements with a fast-tempo deep stab below, which reaches a real depth around the middle of the composition. After this depth a unique use of snares has been implemented by this great producer. '

For release number forty we welcome Jamie Stevens back to the label. Since his Titans EP release back in 2020, Jamie has kept incredibly busy in the studio with a steady output of deep and expansive progressive music. Dorhue continues in that tradition with its cinematic and driving soundscape, a complex blend of drones and synths that slowly open and modulate over a unique and eerie chord progression. First up on remix duties, Oona Dahl delivers a blistering psychedelic interpretation with haunting vocals wafting over an acid-tinged bassline. Manjumasi co-founder Mark Slee rounds out the package with his Tilt Shift Mix, a deeper groove that puts a razor-sharp lead synth front and center, emphasizing the track’s clever melodic progression.

On Pablo Bolivar's Patreon page, after a production tutorial, one of his supporters called Prvotsky was really inspired by the video and decided to produce something special. 

After some days, Prvotsky wrote Pablo introducing the result of the track, and the amazing dubby sounds gave Pablo an idea:
