"808'S & HARD BREAKZ" to najnowsze wydawnictwo w katalogu Sequel One, którego autorem jest pochodzący z Niemiec DJ ENDS. 
EP-ka składa się z 6 utworów utrzymanych w stylistyce juke/footwork, jednak producent pozwala sobie na więcej, wykraczając poza ramy klasycznego brzmienia z Chicago. Znane elementy perkusyjne automatu Rolanda 808, przeplatają się z pociętymi amen breakowymi samplami i brzmieniami rodem z hiphopowych produkcji. Całość okraszają wokale z pogranicza r&b, hip hopu czy brazylijskiego funku. Wszystkie te zabiegi sprawiają, że materiał jest ciekawym zjawiskiem bez sztywnych ram; interesujący i wciągający zarówno dla parkietowych bywalców jak i tych, którzy lubią w domowym zaciszu posłuchać elektroniki z eksperymentalnym polotem. 
Bez wątpienia DJ ENDS jest jedną z tych osób, która wyznacza trendy i kierunek, którego można spodziewać się na raczkującej scenie „neo-juke”, co udowadnia tym materiałem.

"808'S & HARD BREAKZ" is the freshest release in the Sequel One catalogue and it is authored by a German producer DJ Ends. 
The EP is made up of 6 tracks carried in the juke/footwork style, although the producer allowed himself to step outside the boundaries of the classic Chicago sound. The classic percussion rhythms of Roland's 808 drum machine are intertwined with chopped amen break samples and sounds straight out of Hip-Hop productions. This base layer gets drizzled with vocals stemming from the vibes of R&B, Hip Hop and Brazilian funk. All this makes the EP an interesting case without any boundaries which was made for the dance floor, as well as for those who love to bust out some experimental electronic music in the safety of their home. 
Without a doubt, DJ Ends is the kind of person who sets out trends in music, so this EP can be taken as a new direction in boosting the popularity of the "neo-juke" scene out of it's infancy.

Presenting Queens of Club: a two-part VA celebrating the established and up-and-coming women and non-binary producers of Ghetto House, Electro, Footwork & Breakbeat.

Astral Booty, shown here, is the otherworldly, funky, leftfield side of Queens of Club. The recurring theme is dreaminess, but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security as these tracks still slap, and will go to town on your subwoofer! Cute Breaks, Ghetto Techno and Playful Hardcore are just a few buzzwords that come to mind, but don’t quite do justice to the extreme diversity of sounds within.

The title pays homage to the seminal "Queens of Baltimore Club", a highly sought-after LP from various legendary female Bmore artists (like Kotton the Cutie and Mz. Thang) compiled by DJ Technics in 2001. Almost two decades later and the club scene is still a hostile environment for marginalised groups and this compilation aims to address that. Queens of Club is by women/non-binary people, right down to the mastering engineer and the artwork designers, and intended for everyone who likes to shake their ass at high speed!
