Mexican based label BLDSMX returns with their second compilation 'Armada Sounds 002,' boasting a variety of hybrid bass music from international producers. Today we premiere the high energy rave banger "Hands Up" by Hong Kong producer Kray. With previous releases on akin labels like China's Unchained Asia and U.S based SHOOT recordings, the young producer is expanding their sound with each release. WORKS Records is a Bristol based label for footwork, juke, jungle, hardcore and everything in between, founded by Goldman, DJ Jonco & DJ Lazergun in 2019. The aim of the label is to exhibit the varying global sounds of these styles of music, whilst retaining the futurist vision set out by the originators of these genres. 

The label is an extension of the internet forum fka Half-time //Slow/fast and Bristol based club night WORKS, exhibiting the best in all things around 160bpm, and has seen recent coverage from Rinse FM and DJMag. Since its inception it has seen releases from footwork legend Traxman, Italian modular powerhouse Sickarone, and recently breakbeat bootleg king Polo Lilli. 

The latest release is a single from Huddersfield based Slinki, who has been making waves in the 160bpm scene recently with tracks garnering support from Samurai Breaks, Morelia, Nova Cheq and more. The track is reminiscent of mid-nineties acid techno, complete with sharp lazer stabs and an evocative film sample, that is cut through by Slinki’s signature bouncy percussion. This one has already had clubbers mesmerised on the dancefloor.

After his sold out "Fight dem Back/Nu Gun" 12" in 2017, Sun People is finally back with a banger of an EP for Through These Eyes.
In the last years he crafted his very unique and distinctive style at 160 bpm, which he now fully expresses on the "Stumble & Grow EP". Successfully he combines the powerful rhythms of Footwork with the deepness of (old school) Jungle and spices everything with a hint of Detroit. There's a thin line between doing the same thing over and over again and having a true signature sound, Sun People is demonstrating the latter perfect with these four tracks.
