Kisean Anderson, best known by the stage name Sean Kingston, is a Jamaican-American reggae fusion rapper and songwriter. Known for his dark lyrics, Kingston won the 2007 MOBO award for Best Reggae Act and a Teen Choice award for Best R&B track. Born in Florida, Kingston grew up in Jamaica with his grandfather, reggae producer Lawrence “Jack Ruby” Lindo. In 2007 at the age of 17, Kingston was discovered on Myspace by Tommy Rotem, of Britney Spears and 50 Cent fame, who signed Kingston with Beluga Heights Records. In a joint venture between Sony, Epic Records and Koch Records, Kingston released his first single, “Beautiful Girl”. It was an instant success, reaching number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 and topping international charts. His next single, “Me Love”, released at number one in Australia. Later that same year, Kingston toured with Gwen Stefani and Beyoncé as an opening act. The collection of singles was released as his self-titled first album later that year. In 2009, Kingston released his second album, “Tomorrow” with Lady Gaga, produced by RedOne. The single “Fire Burning” debuted at #5 on Billboard while “Face Drop” climbed to #61. In 2010, he joined the UK group Sugarbabies to record “Miss Everything” and was featured on Bow Wow’s single “For My Hood”. Over the next two years, Kingston released multiple singles featuring guest appearances from T-Pain, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Akon and Dr. Dre. He appeared on Justin Bieber’s single “Eenie Meenie” and his cover of “Pretty Boy Swag” and “Billionaire”. In 2011, Kingston released his free online mixtape “Kings of Kong” which featured Akon, Soulja Boy and Justin Bieber. His most recent album, 2012’s “Back 2 Life”, peaked at number 33 on the R&B Album charts and #52 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The single “Beat It” with Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa reach number 17 on Hot R&B charts.

Ejilen Chellapen, alias Ejilen Faya, est un disc jockey et producteur de musique mauricien. Il débute adolescent avant de se professionnaliser juste avant ses 18 ans. 

Débuts…
Né le 15 décembre 1992 à Candos – île Maurice, cet habitant de Rose Hill a fait de la musique sa raison de vivre. Une véritable passion qu’il ne cesse de nourrir au quotidien depuis sa rencontre avec Dj Wess qu’il considère aujourd’hui comme son mentor. C’est à l’âge de 15 ans qu’il sera initié aux platines en collaborant sur différents événements (mariage, anniversaire, etc.) et il y prend goût très vite. Son amour pour la musique prend alors un ascendant et il investit la majeure partie de son temps à cette activité. Lors de ses divers déplacements il a eu l’occasion de côtoyer de nombreux grands noms du monde du DJing Mauricien à l’instar de Nick Farell (JR School). Sa toute première expérience en solo se déroula au Domaine Sam à Côte D’Or alors qu’il a à peine 18 ans. Ce fut un tel succès et un accueil chaleureux du public qu’il décide alors d’en faire son métier. Une détermination sans faille qu’il l’aide à construire son réseau en séduisant plus de gens.     

De… Ejilen à… Faya
Ejilen est un phénomène, déjà à l’époque du collège ses amis le considéraient comme « met la faya », il sait mettre le feu à sa manière. Avec lui c’est ambiance assurée ! C’est dire à quel point il a toujours était un bon vivant. C’est de là qu’est né le pseudo Faya qu’il va alors associer à son prénom pour créer son nom de scène ; DJ Ejilen Faya. Un nom désormais reconnu dans le milieu artistique mauricien de par sa proximité avec plusieurs artistes et maisons de production. Aujourd’hui, il est lui-même devenu producteur. 

Activités parallèles 
Le métier de DJ lui ouvrira les portes de Radio One où il travaille depuis 2016. Un lieu qui lui permet de s’épanouir en tant que technicien réalisateur à travers les émissions mais en même temps c’est l’occasion pour lui de mettre en avant la musique locale. Fan du séga mauricien, la musique traditionnelle de l’île Maurice, Ejilen Faya évolue au plus près de ces artistes. A l’aise à la guitare et au clavier, il crée sa propre musique aux influences Dancehall… Un genre musical provenant de la Jamaïque qu’il affectionne particulièrement, en tant que variante du reggae.  Il puise également son inspiration des sons Afrobeat, un mélange de musique traditionnelle nigériane, un style très popularisé en Afrique.  Produire et créer, deux mots qui rythment son désir d’avenir.  Pour ce faire, il a installé son studio à domicile pour réaliser ses œuvres.  A 25 ans, ce jeune DJ mise sur la qualité pour faire la différence. 
Après quelques mois de réflexion et de travail personnel, il se sent fin prêt pour partager sa musique au plus grand nombre. Son ambition ; se faire connaître du grand public et jouer sur les plus grandes scènes locales et au delà des frontières. D’ailleurs, vous le verrez davantage dans les différents clubs à travers l’île pour ambiancer vos soirées.
