Blood Red Boots began playing shows together in early 2012, quickly becoming a common name at Chicago venues such as Subterranean, Metro, and House of Blues. Their early success would be capstoned in June 2012 by becoming the youngest band to win WGN’s Breakthrough Band contest. Blood Red Boots was chosen over ninety other bands while making their first national TV appearance, grabbing the attention of major producer Manny Sanchez (Smashing Pumpkins, Fall Out Boy . . .). Tracks from their 4 EP’s have been placed on TV shows such as 90210, and have been featured in radio and TV ads during the Grammys, The Beatles 50 Year Tribute, as well as CBS’s TV series, Survivor. Blood Red Boots has continued this momentum by releasing more original songs which have been encapsulated in several unique music videos, playing at Warped Tour, live-streaming a set during the solar eclipse in 2017, and touring throughout the midwest. 
Featuring a broad range of vocals, harmonies, and powerhouse instrumentals, their modern original sound has been described by Jim Rice of Summerfest’s Rebel Stage as “Heavy but not metal; catchy but not pop”. Their energetic performances have graced the stages of House of Blues, Taste of Chicago, the Metro, Milwaukee's Summerfest, and more. Whether headlining an album release show, or playing alongside bands such as The Ides Of March, Kill Hannah, or Whiskey of The Damned, Blood Red Boots is "THE Chicago band to watch" (Examiner.com).
