The name says it all: Acid Bitchez. Remixed by Jori Hulkkonen, General Ludd, Zia and Joeski.

No one knows acid quite like Jori Hulkkonen, as his EPs on Turbo and tracks with Jesper Dahlback as Kebacid will prove.  The Finnish super-producer has released more records than we can count and is also one of electronic music’s most interesting live performers, most recently as Tiga’s right-hand on his long-awaited and acclaimed debut live tour, but most relevantly as conductor of the Acid Symphony Orchestra which happened to include JuhalJohnny as one of the black-tie wearing 303-knob twiddler. After relocating from Finland to LA, Juha teamed up with lyrical miracle JessicalJessika to become ACID BITCHEZ and here we are… 

Jori did a killer remix which Tiga  has been hammering in his DJ sets, as well as on his Paranoid-London centric mix for RA. Rounding out the package are mixes from Glasgow’s General Ludd, hot off releases on Mister Saturday Night and Ten Thousand Yen, old-school NY legend Joeski, and recent Turbo discovery Zia.

We're closing out our 12 days of What Is a Jeffree? singles with one of the heaviest tracks off the compilation. Dominican DJ/producer Happy Colors joined forces with Boston beatsmith JSTJR (pronounced "gesture") for a monstrous song that blends trap with an explosion of tropical machine gun drum fills. Last July we brought you Yellow Claw’s Amsterdam Trap Music Vol.2  where the Dutch trio explored fresh audio terrain as they combined their monstrous trap bangers with influences from all around the music scene. Now they’re back for more with an insane remix package.

If you look up the meaning of "like a kid in a candy store," the Urban Dictionary will tell you it's a state of utter fascination, with many good or tempting things all around you. It then gives the following example. "In Amsterdam I was surrounded by weed, shrooms, pancakes, and cheap whores. I felt like a kid in a candy store."

It kinda sums up how i felt when it came to choosing the second single for the forthcoming RÜFÜS album. SOOOOOOO much good shit to choose from - but what to go with next? So much choice, i got confused and went for a surf. Which was when it hit me just how good these boys are at writing hooks. "Like An Animal" was stuck in my head the whole surf, so much so that i pretty much had to get out of the water and race back to tell Danny, their legendary manager that yep, I agreed with them - "Like An Animal" should be the next single.

So here it is.

Oh..but most of you are djs right? :) Well…..we got remixes don't u worry…..Dom Dolla DESTROYS it with his cut….absolutely his best yet!!!! French Express main man Isaac Tichauer takes the deep route while Swiss trio Trinidad get all warm and organic on us like they do so well.

What's in a name? Well, when you decide to call yourself Acid Bitchez, quite a lot. Harking back to a simpler time, when Chicago ruled the roost, the freshly formed duo of Juha Johnny (who eagle eared readers may remember as as one of the black-tie wearing 303-knob twiddlers in Jori Hulkkonen's Acid Symphony Orchestra) and "lyrical miracle" Jessika have made the most auspicious of debuts, landing on Tiga's Turbo imprint to take us on an acid trip of epic proportions.

Titled 'Thinking About Acid' (we're starting to notice a theme here...) their debut record has seen the label draft in fellow acid enthusiasts - the music not the drug - on remix duties with Jori Hulkkonen, General Ludd, Zia and Joeski all brought in to reshape the cut in their own image.
