Here's our 'O&A Warehouse Remix' of Jesse Rose & Brillstein's 'Good Wife' that features on Jesse's 'The Whole Twleve Remixes' package on Play It Down, along side fellow artists such as Matthias Tanzmann, Guti, Ninetoes, Sebo K etc.

The original track was a disco-funk cut up house jam with the spoken word vocal, but we decide to just use the vocal & build a new track around it. We took it into a deeper, jackin, warehouse tech house territory, and it worked a treat. This one KILLS IT!!!! :)

On 11 August, Matt Walsh drops The Clouded Vision Experiment – Level 2, a mixed compilation which showcases the label’s outlook. The compilation will be released on triple vinyl with an included CD and features tracks from the likes of Richard Norris,  Dimitri Veimar, Demian, Eskimo Twins, Markus Gibb, Few Nolder, Kiwi, Club Bizarre and many more. We’ve got the first listen of our favourite track on the compilation – The Hacker’s The Outer Limits. Its unashamedly Drexcyia-influenced, wave-running nature harks back to the golden days of electro (real electro) while remaining up-to-date in every other aspect, and that’s definitely something we can get into. Denney has ricocheted through the dance music circuit since his first Hot Creations release in 2012, raising the stakes higher with each record and gaining props from everyone from Annie Mac to Mixmag, who named him their ‘Future Hero’. ‘Visualise’ lands on Crosstown Rebels on 27th May with three original cuts from Denney and a Luke Solomon remix.

From the headsy house of the title track, to the deep and enthralling pulse of ‘Senses’ and the rolling melodies of ‘Hallucinate’, Denney illustrates the breadth of his raw and burgeoning talent. While Classic record founder and chart topping Freaks frontman Luke Solomon steps up to shake up ‘Visualise’ with his awe-inspiring take on the original, hot a you like!

Denney cut his teeth at the legendary Back To Basics in Leeds, where he now holds a residency. This release his first for Damian Lazarus’s pioneering imprint and another step up in the ranks for this rising star. “Crosstown Rebels has been one of my favourite record labels over the last decade so am really excited to be releasing with them."

2016 has unquestionably been another remarkable year for Polish outfit Catz ‘N Dogz. With their ‘Basic Colour Theory: Remixed’ album receiving an array of support from the industry’s leading names, the ‘Upsi Bubsi’ EP which followed in May showcased a different style of their musical prowess. Never showing any signs of stalling when it comes to their music output, Catz ‘N Dogz proudly announce their latest EP titled ‘It’s Happening/Our Crazy’ set for release this November.

With the EP drawing influence from varying styles, the opening track ‘It’s Happening’ fuses together elements of house and disco creating an assured dance floor ready production. Bound together by an infectious bassline and catchy vocal sample, ‘It’s Happening’ has regularly featured in Catz ‘N Dogz sets over the summer becoming a favorite in clubs and festivals across the globe.

Providing a more hypnotic and raw offering than its counterpart, ‘Our Crazy’ once again demonstrates Catz ‘N Dogz unparalleled ability to conjure productions from opposite ends of the musical spectrum. The metronomic synth tone that flutters throughout is perfectly complimented by a driving 4/4 kickdrum creating yet another resounding track in Catz ‘N Dogz catalogue.

At first glance seeing Botnek on a house label could be slightly confusing, maybe even confronting but if you’ve been following these guys for the past 2 years you may have seen a shift in their sound. 

Botnek have come back to their roots, come back to what enticed them to fall in love with dance music in the first place. We first heard this when they released their record ‘Don’t Need U’ on their new imprint ‘World Famous Headquarters’. Their production and sound design is so unique and applied to this new sound makes it ever so satisfying. 

Both ‘Wiggle’ and ‘Vibrate’ have the party aesthetic you expect from Botnek mixed with driving bass lines and leads. These are both peak time records and should not be taken lightly.

We hope you Wiggle and Vibrate to this two-tracker like we do.

Alvaro AM - Laser Tool [Sola]

With support already coming in from the likes of Loco Dice and Jamie Jones and now the Solardo lads supporting the rising talent, Alvaro AM makes his debut on Sola with his two track Laser Tool EP. 

Lead EP track Laser Tool boasts a punchy drumline powering through acid squelches whilst captivating lasers radiate amongst the energetic production. Meanwhile, Living Together leads with pulsing synths and compelling vocal distortion before entering into a belting tech house explosion demonstrating Alvaro AM’s Laser Tool EP is a certified dancefloor weapon. 

Rising Spanish talent Alvaro AM continues to rise above the ranks and his Sola debut marks a remarkable achievement for the up and coming producer. Not even at the peak of his growing journey, Alvaro has also had impressive originals released on the likes of Desolat, MOOD Records, Resonance and Material all  of which garnered international appreciation. With continued support from DJ heavyweights including Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna and Nicole Moudaber who are all playing Alvaro’s unique and rhythmic tunes across dancefloors globally, expect to see and hear more of Alvaro AM in the months to come.
