Growing up surrounded by jazz, gospel and blues gave me a love of deep bass and heartfelt lyrics.  A child of the 80s I'm still obsessed with the complexities of digital sounds and the energy of old school hiphop.  An Orbit (Leeds) and Fabric (London) regular through the late 90s and noughties I've had the honour of seeing some of the most incredible DJs of the time play, up close, and can almost remember some of it too.  I might have grown up a little since then, but I've been hunting and collecting bleeps, squeaks, clever lyrics, and huge bass-lines wherever I can find them for over 30 years now.
