UK tech house titan Jey Kurmis is back on the warpath with Coil, a heads-down club heater that wastes no time getting into the groove. We’re buzzing to premiere this one, because trust us, it hits hard.

If you’ve been anywhere near a sweaty booth at Paradise Ibiza or caught one of those late-night rinsers on Hot Creations, you’ll already know Jey’s not here to mess about. He’s built a rep off slinky drums, warped basslines, and those cheeky little percussive tweaks that DJs eat up. Now, he steps up for his Witty Tunes debut, and the results are lethal.

“Coil” is a no-nonsense roller. Tight, punchy drums. A hypnotic vocal loop that spirals deep into the night. Twisted synths and tension that just won’t quit. You can smell the smoke machine and feel the strobe in this one. Straight-up basement pressure, built for the heads.

On the flip, “Treetops” doesn’t let off. It’s got a grimy little swing and some off-kilter funk that keeps you locked. The kind of track that sneaks up on you, then smacks you sideways just when you’re feeling brave on the dancefloor.

This is Jey Kurmis doing what he does best. Club-focused, groove-obsessed, and built for those “where the hell am I?” moments at 4AM.

Heads up minimal crew, we’ve got a proper late-night groover coming your way. Six Shots EP by AJK(US) hits Techords on July 24th and it’s pure backroom pressure from start to finish.

AJK(US) has been bubbling on the underground radar for a minute, notching top 25 status on Beatport’s minimal deep/tech charts and slinging out sleazy rollers via labels like Gritty Records and Techords. Now he’s back with a fresh four-tracker built for basements, rooftops, and everywhere in between.

Raised on piano, guitar, and drums before going full tilt into house music after moving to Miami, AJK(US) brings a musician’s touch to the booth. There’s structure, swing, and a filthy sense of space across this new cut.

‘Six Shots’ leads the charge with a shuffling groove that’s all snare snaps and late-night strut. Proper heads-down gear. B-side business stays sharp too, with tight percussion and woozy synths built for that 4am zone when the sweat’s dripping and the phones are gone.

This one’s tailor-made for fans of minimal deep/tech who like their basslines cheeky and their grooves hypnotic.

Sydney’s own Elroy is turning up the thermostat with his debut on Lee Foss’ iconic Repopulate Mars. The Elroy Hot EP is a three-track dancefloor weapon, and we’ve got the title cut ‘Hot’ on lock.

Elroy’s been making waves in the Aussie scene with his stripped-back, glitch-heavy tech house sound, winning support from big-hitters like Marco Carola, Patrick Topping, and Jamie Jones. From sweaty warehouse sessions in Sydney to high-energy sets at UNVRSE for Catch & Release, the guy knows how to work a room.

‘Hot’ is pure after-hours mischief, driven by a chunky low end, tight percussion, and vocal chops that land right in the sweet spot. It’s got that late-night bounce built for basements and rooftop sunrises alike. The rest of the Elroy Hot EP keeps the pressure high with ‘Shakin’ delivering warped synth lines and slick drum work, while ‘Feel The Bass’ dips into UKG-inspired grooves that tunnel deep into the mix.

This one’s a full-circle moment for Elroy, releasing on the label that first pulled him into tech house. Now he’s dropping heat for the same imprint, and trust us, it’s going to do damage.

Sussex based Producer/DJ Kove first started dabbling in music production in 2006 and by 2009 he’d moved to London to produce for a synth-pop band, things didn't work out and he eventually left. However, whilst in London he discovered the world of Drum and Bass music.  He hasn’t looked back since. 

This year saw two of his tracks being picked up by Futurebound of Viper Recordings, with one of the tracks, ‘Breach’ receiving a play on BBC’s 1 Xtra. His next single, ‘Iodine’ was picked up by Andy C of Program/Ram records and is due on October 8th. Expect
big things from this guy.

DROOG is the LA Based DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe.  The collective made a name for themselves by holding some of the best parties going; being at the cutting edge of dance music and masterminding showcase parties at WMC, DEMF, BPM and Sonar festivals. They held a residency for years at the world famous Avalon Hollywood club. They are also minds behind the Culprit label which has released Matt Tolfrey & Inxec, Lee Foss and Subb-an. 

Of late they’ve gained further attention for their productions with knockout releases for Crosstown Rebels and Supernatured and superb remixes for Murmur, My Favorite Robot , Adjunct Audio and Noir Music. Cozzy D is a producer, DJ, promoter and label owner who is based in London. As a producer he's released on prestigious labels such as Real Tone, Four:Twenty, 1Trax & of course his own Lower East, the imprint he runs alongside Lee Brinx and Dexter Kane. He released his 'Mythical Mystery' EP on the aforementioned this year, picking up a good review from yours truly.

His DJ sets have become renowned for their immersive nature, skills that he no doubt picked up through his time as a promoter and running acclaimed nights like Crèche. Sit back, relax and get ready for the sounds of Cozzy D.

Originally from Minneapolis, Bryan Black began his career as a sound designer for Prince, where he would learn and expand his production skills at the renowned Paisley Park Studios. In 2001 he moved to London and formed the live electro-techno band, Motor. Creating four albums and sharing the stages of Daft Punk, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. 

In 2011 Black wanted to return to world of Techno that he felt Motor has strayed from over the years and began working on a project which would eventually become 'Black Asteroid'.  Black Asteroid's debut, 'The Engine EP' received masses of critical acclaim catching the attention of Chris Liebing who quickly signed the record up. This year he also released the stunning 'Black Acid EP' on Electro Deluxe a release that pushed the boundaries of Techno music even further. 

Black Asteroid will be heading over to ADE as part of Electro Deluxe's showcase at Melweg on October 19th. If this wasn't already in your diaries, then this podcast should help you make up your mind pretty damn quickly. Get ready for some of the craziest and most adrenaline fuelled techno music from the one and only Black Asteroid...

Bruno Deodato is a portuguese musician and producer originally hailing from Porto and now based in London. He's had releases out on Terrain Ahead, Spagat Music, Container and Man Make Music. His music is a blend of techno and house with a 4x4 beat and deep punchy basslines.  

Watch out for this kid, he's starting to generate some nice hype on the internet at the moment and after smashing it! on our Data Transmission Boat Party at Dimensions Festival this summer we had to get him on the podcast....

Following on from a summer spent touring the best of Europe's clubs and festivals with Ibiza as Ellen's home base, enjoying the island's hot parties and good vibes, Berlin will have her back in October 2012. This autumn sees Ellen playing at Time Warp Italy and at the DC10 closing party to crown her summer residency at the mind-blowing ibizan club. As from the end of September her new ellen allien fashion collection 'STORM' will be launched, and available to buy. There are also upcoming BPitch Control showcases in Madrid, Paris, Rome, Berlin and Bergamo and if that wasn't enough to whet your appetite, Ellen will start working on her new album titled Colours, sheduled for release next year. In the meantime don't forget to check out the recent videos for 'Need' and 'Take Me Out' from Ellen's single 'Galactic Horse'.
