Hot on the heels of his 9-track OWSLA-released EP, To a New Earth, LA funkstepper Kill Paris aka Corey Baker has lent his impeccable production chops to a new single, Falling In Love Again. The track, Baker's take on a sensual R&B jam features vocals from Marty Rod and Alma and electro that boldly stands in defiance of the build-up-to-the-drop mentality of today's EDM world. The track is due out via OWSLA on July 9th, and is part of Kill Paris's upcoming Fall 2013 EP, also on OWSLA. Baker will also be playing OWSLA's Tomorrow World stage this coming September in Atlanta.

Our podcast this week comes from one of the fastest rising Spanish DJs around Tato (real name Tomas Estaben). His DJ career began over a decade ago now and this mans talent has grown and grown, and Isgud Records, which he runs alongside Tania Vulcano, has rapidly become a bible for pure house music aficionados across the underground scene.

Originally from Mallorca, but now resident in Ibiza where 2012 saw him once again continue his residency. The respect that he has built up at DC10 where he was capable or permitted to play at any given time slot in either room for the infamous Circoloco party on Monday afternoons. He is someone who knows a thing orr two about electronic music and he is vested in the solid, true 4/4 spirit of house music that underlies much of what DC10 is all about. One of the new vanguard of the British electronic music over the last few years, Adam Shelton has been winning plaudits from dance floors across Europe with acclaimed performances at some of the worlds hottest nightspots from Berlin’s esteemed Panorama bar to London’s Fabric and iconic Ibiza club Space. 

We’ve always been deeply impressed with both his work as a DJ and a label boss at his own imprint One Records and so we’re delighted to welcome such a champion of underground electronic music to deliver this weeks podcast ahead of his performance at Circoloco in the Arena; from acid to tech Adam seamlessly delivers it all. As someone with his ear firmly to the ground, his label One Records has long been known as a breeding ground  for emerging creative talent, having showcased the sounds of Seelie, Jordan Peak and Death on the Balcony alongside more underground scene veterans such as Geddes, Burnski and Jozif.

 So as the sun beats down enjoy  a journey  through sultry and atmospheric sounds towards acid-drenched techno and back again. The perfect accompaniment to that party you’ve been planning…

With Tube & Berger having an absolutely stacked tour date throughout Europe this Summer, AND recently finishing a US tour of Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami all in just four days where they “met cool people, got a good time and we want to thank you all for the massive support and the positive vibe!”. We here at Data Transmission are pleased that they took the time to bring us a brilliant podcast.

Tube & Berger are a duo formed of Arndt Roerig and Marko Vidovic, they grew up in a small industrial town in Germany, and confronted with the boredom that comes with that they found music at a young age. Their breakthrough came back in 2004 with the song ‘Straight Ahead’ featuring new wave legend Chrissie Hynde which climbed straight to the top of the US Billboard Dance Radio Charts and bookings from all over the world started to roll in. The duo wanted the freedom that many artist crave, so with their friend and colleague DJ Juliet Sikora Kittball they created their own label; ‘Kitball Records’. The three ‘Kittballers’ are also responsible for the ‘It Began In Africa’ charity project. The project, which helps young African musicians, has released two compilations and received massive support from artists such as Timo Maas, Ida Engberg, Format B and Pirupa. After ‘Free Tribe’, Tube & Berger reached the Beatport no.1 spot once again with the track ‘Lovebreak’ featuring Milan Euringer. Then after 8 years of constant touring and gigs in some of the world’s renowned clubs (Cocoon Club – Frankfurt, Sankeys – Manchester, Club A – Sao Paulo), Tube & Berger still found the time to release their first studio album titled ‘Introlution’, which was highly praised by both critics and fans alike. This is most certainly Tube & Berger’s biggest year so make sure you catch them if you can

Leeds-based, disco loving Scot Grum is a producer we’ve had our eye on at DT for a while now. After being impressed with 2010 debut album ‘Heartbeats’ we were pleased to hear that after a long 3 years Grum was embarking on a sophomore effort this year. If Heartbeats provided a subtle pastiche of 80’s disco and pop music then judging by his most recent effort ‘Human Touch’ it seems the talented producer is about to do the same thing again with a homage to the classic sounds of the 90’s.

So with a new project in the pipeline we decided to welcome Grum to deliver this weeks podcast and his doesn’t disappoint with a summery set full of deep vibes and retrofitted house. Enjoy.
