It’s Monday and despite our inevitably ill fated attempts at “having a quiet weekend before ADE” we’re in a spectacularly good mood here at Data Transmission HQ. No, it’s not the detoxing effects of kale smoothie that we’ve consumed this morning ( DT has concluded that kale is like the bacon of the vegetable world, only, rather than being delicious and kind of horrible for you, it's extremely healthy and almost impossible for us to enjoy) it’s the fresh mix from Berlin based producer and songwriter Emika. 

An unconventional artist who refuses to be constrained by genre boundaries Emika has long been able to count us a fans; her unique compositions have continually moved with the ever-evolving world of electronic music, her amalgamation of her signature dark textures with beats and vocals as evidenced on her last two albums consistently impressing. With the likes of Thom Yorke and Mary-Anne Hobbs similarly enamoured with the works of the half Czech songstress you can imagine our excitement at securing her services for our podcast as the latest esteemed name to join our illustrious list of alumni.
