A year on from his last outing on Moon Harbour, Colombian Julian Collazos is back with a new single alongside American talent Vanjee. The wonderful 'Rumba' is a fiery jam that brings warm and sunny energy even in deepest winter. The joyous piano keys and string melodies jostle next to organic percussion, shakers and Spanish vocal chants while chunky drums keep the floor locked in. There's rare musicality and authentic Latin culture baked deep into these beats, which is why it is such an irresistible sound, especially once the horns and xylophone solo break out at the mid-point.

“I made this track within the arc of two days in my studio in Ibiza. Came together like dat! It draws inspiration from that golden-era hip-hop energy (think A Tribe Called Quest) but with a fresh, modern edge. I never sent any music to Jamie before until he started playing ‘U Don’t Want This’, which helped define my musical style a bit more. Coming out on Hot Creations after many years in the scene is truly a dream come true.” - Luca Saporito.
Adding to the package, Rome’s Whitesquare has been proving himself as a DJ and producer of note since 2012, blending deep house and techno to deliver fresh, eclectic vibes. His remix of ‘Talkin’ Like Dat’ adds trippy and hypnotic melodic layers, delivering heightened rhythmic drive and providing an interpretation for all hours of the night.

With a career spanning over two decades, previously as one half of Audiofly and now as a solo artist, Saporito has amassed millions of streams and played stages around the world, from Fabric London and UNVRS Ibiza to Warung Brazil and Piknic Electronik Chile. His work consistently blends meticulous production with dancefloor intuition, earning him a devoted following and recognition as a versatile, crowd-connecting selector.

Jacques is a DJ and producer from the Washington, D.C. area who lives and works in Brooklyn. He runs Let's Play House, a roving house, disco, and techno party as well as an imprint of the same persuasion, with friend and partner, Nik Mercer. He owns three plants, a rotary mixer, thousands of records, and a similar number of T-shirts. Despite working within the confines of a different genre, Dischord Records is still probably his favorite label.

We bumped in to him over a year ago and discuss him doing this mix and it's finally here, so we are very excited today to give you Jacques Renualt on the Data Transmission podcast!
